I also ate at Portis Kountry Kitchen while on vacation in Corpus Christi. The food was phenomenal and the service was extremely friendly. Since my knowledge of English and my experience with American cuisine are limited, I was helped very well. If I ever come to Corpus Christi again, I will definitely eat there again.

Watching from the PNW, & as a former Texas resident, I love these Texas Bucket List restaurant segments. Started watching the show on TV when I was there. This place has a menu similar to Sweet Georgia Brown in Dallas, TX.

If you go to the beach, go to padre Island national seashore. Its alot nicer then than the beaches in corpus christi and its not that much farther

When I first saw this I was excited since I used to live in CC and ate at there original location.. But this shows them in a different location and it's actually moved again and they don't serve cafeteria style they have servers.. I recommended this to a friend who lives and works in CC and he went to new location yesterday and the service was horrible and he almost walked out till the owner noticed him and took his order.. He got the pork chop as in this video but he said it was tough and cold and sides were limited and bad!!! I feel bad recommending this place and Texas Reporter you need to update and go to new location and try again cause I'm sure it won't air.. Very Sad!!!
