I enjoy watching the videos on this channel and it gives me more ideas about places to visit when my fiancé and I travel to Texas in a few months. I was born and raised in North Carolina and I grew up eating Lexington (Western NC), Eastern NC, and SC Midlands styles of pulled pork barbecue. They're very good and I still enjoy eating them from time to time but Texas barbecue is my favorite by far. My bride-to-be is a Texas woman and we really enjoy making our Texas barbecue runs!

One of the BEST BBQ places in Texas ... Be sure to check out the Smokehouse Restaurant which is in town on “501 East San Patricio Ave” - This one has TONS of interesting old fashion artifacts all around the dinning room. The staff is one of the most friendly ones that I’ve encountered. It’s unique enough that at times we’ve driven the hour of time to get there from Corpus Christi. State Park, Lake Corpus Christi / Mathis is just down the road and full of a fun days activity for everyone......
