Honestly I think you're so right. Elbaf feels like a huge moment of growth for a lot of the Straw Hats at this point. It feels like a lot of them are on the precipice of something big. Luffy is about to meet Shanks as a great pirate, Usopp is going to be feeling super inadequate compared to Luffy while meeting his heroes (Dad AND giants, Usopp is gonna have it rough dude), Robin is meeting Saul and about to get huge history gains, Franky is in the perfect scenario to build the counter-pluton (Adam tree + a Vegapunk is nuts). Zoro and Sanji def have some inner conflicts they're working on too lets be real. It doesn't quite feel like they're meeting their goals here, but that they're all gonna be within reach at the end of Elbaf.

Ever since learning about how the Ancient Kingdom were an advanced Civilization at the time, I strongly believed most of the SH will get an upgrade with the technologies, and the Sunny is no exception! I even believe that the newly upgraded Sunny will have the ability to fly like an airship, be submerged underwater without being coated in Bubble, and walk on land like a lion!

I think the sunny is already plutonium but with a weaker power source. The sunny uses cola to power everything, which can't be a powerful source of energy, but if Franky switches the engines to use the mother flame or to synchronize with the drums of liberation then the power derived from that could be league's beyond what we've seen

I've always thought Franky built _Sunny_ to be retrofitted for Pluton or to be the anti-Pluton. I'm not saying Franky did it with that intention or that Luffy would ever ask him to, but Franky had those blueprints for a long time. Franky is smart enough to have memorized them. He likely built _Sunny_ subconsciously so it's super easy to turn into _Pluton_ or the perfect weapon to fight _Pluton_ if it was essential. I can see him using Adam to fix her and that’s when he turns _Sunny_ either into Pluton or the perfect _Pluton_ counter. Because _Sunny_ is already made of a Treasure Tree.

We lost the Sunny just sailing to Elbaph... It's still too early even now to upgrade Thousand Sunny into Pluton. We can't even guard the ship... We're still way too weak... Sleeping mist.. jesus... Unless the crew have some sort of chemical weapon resistant built into the Sunny. Franky?... come on bro. Franky needs to be SUUUUUPERRRR Strong. Enough that he's able to guard the ship on his own from anyone. It will probably be when the original Pluton is surface, that's when Franky will have to start building Pluton. Though I do think the Sunny may get an upgrade to some extent, and possibly build a framework to house the Pluton Cannon should he need to build the said cannon. Franky will somehow tap into the antigravitational forces that the adam tree holds(dont ask) and it till be the key to making their ship be able to have some type of anti gravity ability. Not the first time I've seen this Theory pop up, however it is the first time that it's popped up for elbaf as the sight where its built. I think ever since the sunny and pluton were introduced in the same ark, by the ship builder/ ship Wright it became obvious Franky would build pluton for luffy as a ship or weapon attachment. I agree that Franky will build Pluton (or at least the weapon from Pluton). But I have a different theory on when this will happen. It's not in the Straw Hats' nature to plan ahead for their battle against Blackbeard. It much more likely that they will, as usual, power-up as they fight. My theory is that the fight against Blackbeard will happen in 2 phases with a gap in between. Blackbeard defeats Straw Hats thanks to Pluton in round 1 and then Franky builds a counter to Pluton in the time between Round 1 and Round 2.

In order to get pluton Blackbeard will likely have to defeat momo and Yamato, as they are the guardians of wano. This will trigger a conflict with the straw hats because wano is Luffy’s territory and Momo and Yamato are his friends. This could be the event lead to their final conflict.

I would never say that Franky CANT memorize the blueprints, but the fact that there is no line in the entire series that even suggests that Franky DID memorize the blueprints completely kills this theory for me. In the same way that Morj based his “raid will fail” theory on what he thought would be best thematically and narratively rather than what Oda is making clear will happen, he is ignoring Odas intention in writing here too. The Sunny won’t get any upgrades in Elbaf, despite it making sense. It made sense for Franky to get power ups on egghead but the story didn’t go that direction AT ALL. We don’t know where Elbaf will take us, but we know it won’t be where it seems to be.
