4:29 As a horse rider, one of the stirrups main purposes is redistributing the rider’s weight on the saddle making it easier on the horse’s back and lessening discomfort, consequently making them easier to handle. So to convince someone to use stirrups I would try to get a good rider on a horse with back discomfort and have them fail at making the horse do what they wanted without stirrups but succeed with them. Another option is showing the pressure marks on a horse’s back with and without stirrups. You can see deformations on their skin and bones from ill fitted saddles and misused stirrups

My goal would be either purely observational and keeping the timeline intact or full on molding the Roman Empire into the Imperium of Man via industrialization about 2000 years early because why not

Bring migration era armor back to antiquity (laminar, spangen helms, coats of plate etc.) which can be made cheaply and quickly, even using subpar materials. Industrialize as much as possible with assembly line techniques to streamline production. Introduce medieval style crossbows, but base them off the same pattern/schematics so there is parts interchangeability. Create Pike-and-Shot style mercenaries 1500 years early. Profit.

The steam engine. Quickly followed and demonstrated by a train. The military use of trains in obvious so i will avoid being killed.
