In manga there was a display match in which every god of destruction had to fight. They teamed up against Beerus but failed. Then Beerus and the Mouse god were the last people standing, but Grand Priest stopped them with 1 finger.

Fun fact: The name for the device that Zeno uses to watch the fights is apparently something that the writers asked the fans to give it a name. And that´s why it ended up being called "godpad". Also, I don´t know if you already know this, but the names of all the gods of destructions (and the angels) are variations/references to the names of many alcoholic drinks. LIke "Beerus" being a reference to beer, champa being a reference to champagne, the angel of universe 11 being called margarita, etc.

The time left on the fight is always accurate. It only takes long for us as viewers because they are showing different angles and parts of the arena so that we can appreciate more of what went on. Reminder that since dragon ball we know these fights go at light speed. So there is also the fact that the fights are slowed down for us to see. There are videos out there that put together every scene that that occurred simultanously, and sped up at key points and it adds up to the total of 48 mins. Same thing happened im DBZ with Frieza saying Namek would blow up in 5 minutes, and it indeed was in 5 minutes for them, but lots of episodes for us viewers.

What… does that have to do with anything..? People complain about Buu being written out by the *same* lazy excuse that he just fell asleep as the previous tournament, not about Frieza replacing him specifically. Nobody cares about the humans, Frieza could have replaced any of them, but the way they just write Buu out of everything and don’t even bother to write a decent reason as to why he is out, is what people are pissed about.

@@grydon6422 it’s also the perfect setting to NOT write buu out. Normally Buu poses a problem cause he literally can regenerate any damage even if a single speck of his body remains unobliterated, meaning in tournaments where killing is against the rules and the only method of victory is KO or forfeit, Buu cannot be defeated. However, in the Tournament of Power, the ONLY method of victory is ring out, which Buu *can* be subject too (although it would likely be exceptionally difficult to ring out Buu given that he can stretch and split his body at will

Btw just some correction. The universes that are not fighting are not because of their fighters necessarily being stronger compared to the other universes or anything. The three universes not taking part is because their management of their universes is impeccable compared to all the others.
