Quitting League for good was one of the best experiences I've ever had in my gaming history. It felt like I removed a heavy weight from my soul. I couldn't say I was addicted to the game, but I felt the need to play it regularly. And it always ended in the same way. On the contrary, quitting League actually gave me more time to try new games and to focus on my personal life. Although, one thing needs to be clear. The game itself is not even that bad; what makes it insufferable is the awful community that surrounds it. Kira. I just discovered your channel today and have watched several of your videos and decided to subscribe because of your amazing content and story telling abilities and this video is my favorite so far. This video showcases what's wrong with so many people nowadays, it's the fact the so many people place the blame on the 'bad' events in their life on some outside factor when the reality is that 80% or more of the events that happen in our lives happen because of a decision that we made in the past. I know this is true because this is how I used to be. I used to place the blame on 'bad luck' or anything else I could think of, but as soon as I realized that almost every single thing that happened to me in life was my fault my life took an amazing turn to good. I'm the happiest I've ever been and have the most fulfilling life in every way imaginable and I didn't do anything different, all I did was begin to take responsibility. I am someone who has played video games basically since i was 10 years old and now i am 26, who has had a long standing with anger management issues in games (used to play call of duty and still play league of legends, so that should know what kind of child i was), where i could literally get so angry that i would spout insanity and hate speech to my opponents, or allies if they were "in the way", or when i broke my hand in anger by punching a concrete pillar in rage. And even with all of this happening in my early teenage years, it baffles me that people can still hold that kind of anger in these types of games. There are so many "tools" to make sure that other peoples toxicity can not get to you, like in league of legends you can full mute people (and have been able to for many years) in call of duty you can also mute people. Of course you can get angry at a certain persons playstyle in cod, or how someone behaves in league or whatever, and i still get annoyed nowadays when we have someone who dies 3 times on lane and then griefs other lanes or goes afk, etc. but for it to affect you so much that you wish literal death upon another person or their loved ones, just because they did not perform to your standard (which in most cases the person flaming is not even doing well himself/herself) is insane. If you like playing the games, but hate the way people act in some games, then mute everyone and everything. There is no reason to increase your chances of a heart attack over a sweaty little 15 year old child screaming at you from the other side of the globe. Deafen/mute/hide chat or whatever other options there is out there, enjoy your favorite games, and don't give yourself a mental illness over a video game. This is spoken from someone who used to be like Shaclone back in my "hayday" of trash talking on the internet. Don't let the opinions and trash talking of others affect your gameplay or your mental health. Take care of yourself, don't let children ruin your gaming experience or ruin your favorite video game. Take care, and have a good one.

As someone who had to quit Splatoon because I recognized how toxic I could be when I lost, it breaks my heart to see this. Your life is worth so much more than a game. You don't need to be good at a game to be worth something, or to have a meaning in life. Your life is so much more precious and valuable than that. You're a living, breathing human being--composed of countless tiny cells that all work in unison. You have a heart, a spirit, and a soul. You have a family and a heritage and a place where you're from. You're a real person, not some artificial identity crafted on the internet via an ultimately pointless video game. A simple game is _never, ever_ worth the self-inflicted shame that repeatedly tearing down others and yourself continually brings. You're just making yourself and those around you miserable. All the hurt you wish on others--all that terrible, horrible pain--is not nearly as great as the loneliness, self-loathing, and misery in your own heart. Video games are supposed to be fun and enjoyable, not vectors for a cycle of toxicity. If you're not enjoying a video game, then what good is it anymore? I hope and pray that Shaco someday realizes that he doesn't need LoL and seeks the professional help he so desperately _does_ need. There's no shame in that. It's not too late. It's never too late.

The story of League of Legends is just very sad. I genuinely think it's an amazing game and when I played in coordinated teams of friends I knew in real life, it was hands down one of the best gaming experiences of my life. But the levels of toxicity render the game unplayable. I would quit and come back to it several times because I just missed the genuinely fun gameplay. Every time I returned, hoping that maybe something has changed, I realised it just got worse and worse. I used to occasionally feel the need to report a player for bad behaviour, once every few games. Last time I tried it maybe 2 years ago and I felt I had to report several players every single game. It's gotten to a point where riot games doesn't even do anything about it because if they banned every toxic player, they'd lose 98% of the playerbase. Last time I played, I got flamed by someone, saying they hope I get cancer and die. I genuinely asked what do they think they achieve with this. I am one of the few players who actually want to play the game to the end instead of giving up the moment something goes slightly wrong. I kept trying to encourage my team to win. I tried explaining that toxicity isn't going to help us win the game. The player's response was simple: "Because if players like you get flamed enough, they will quit the game" and I guess he was right. Every player with a tinge of positivity left in them has quit due to the constant toxicity.
@thelyxin Жыл бұрын
You may want to try again even though toxicity is far from solved Riot finally took some steps against it. Meaning Feedback from Reports is very frequent (showing something happens with them), people that use "zero tolerance words" will automatically be muted and punished, it is now possible to report people during the game and AFK detection is generally pretty good. There is finally a "party only chat" ideal for organized play with friends. And they are working actively on Systems for "Softinting" and subtile trolling. While far from perfect, for me it is finally halfway fun again.

I was playing LB and ended 22/6/28 but I couldn't carry his inting, non-cooperative 2/18/4 ass. I linked my main afterwards, to tell him I laughed at him all game long and said that I was sorry for his pity, sad and seemingly boring live. no, the vast majority of ppl are stupid, braindead consumers without producing more value (I'm including every aspect you can think of, not just financily) than they consume/deserve to consume. More and more want privileges and rights, but almost no one wants the responsibility or to put in the actual work or having actual skills. So, yes wishing death on some % of the population - ironically, is not a bad thing. Shaclone is just doing it on a pretty surface level though. Some ppl deserve to die and everything is connected. One example: most ppl if I give them suddenly a ball and command them to dribble through 2 cons, they won't have the coordination and reaction for it - yet, the very same (most) people are allowed to drive (legally) 1, 2, 3 tons machines where coordination + reaction is everything - which turns them into potential death machines driven by not enough skilfull operators. Which is why the major % of auto crashes is human mistakes. They shouldn't be allowed to even drive in the first place, yet they're allowed. The same goes for numerous other things. Won't write, it would be too long. Society is stagnant and there are limited ways it can progress but to simplify it even more I will brake it down to 50-50: Hard or an easy way. Hard way is another World War to clean the population and humanity to learn some lessons. Easy way is global thinking and the majority of humanity evolves to finally start to work together, putting aside petty differences, working better + more together on a global scale plus down to close 100% of every single individual IQ going higher, actively seeking progress + developing skills on every level. imo - 1st way is more possible, 2nd one is close to sci-fi currently and for the near future.
