I just came out of the closet a year ago, and I just started high school. After listening to this song, I felt more confident in myself. But then going into high school was a different story when I suddenly had to go though the same shit about me being bisexual. SO LISTEN UP! IM PROUD TO BE WHO I AM! LIKE THIS IF YOU AGREE

People are people no matter who they decided to love, what race, religion, where they are from. NO ONE ever deserves to feel like they are alone in the world. NO ONE deserves to be bullied for who they are. I would honestly fight one of my best friends in the world if they EVER bullied a complete stranger for being gay or anything. Everyone deserves to be love.

Hatred is an unnecessary outlet. Respect everyone for who they are. You don't have to like everyone, or be their friends, just respect them. Respect breeds respect.

It gets so much better. There are people out there who will respect, love and care for you because you are you. Don't ever let anyone tell you that you are not worth anything but greatness. The only wrong thing you can do in this world is not be yourself. If someone is trying to bring you down keep your head up strong, because you are better than them. You are loved. Don't ever give up on anything, espically YOURSELF. Love is louder than the pressure to be perfect. Stay stong.

I don't know much about questionning but I know about being bullied. Even as i understand completely only part of the matter, I think my testimony can be useful. I used to be the frigile girl that people picked on because I never fought back. A guy followed me around during month whispering me that I was ugly and unworthy of any love when he was sure no one else was listening. Needless to say, I was traumatized for years. I felt bad about myself and I could have easily given up on life.

Lady GaGa has told us to embrace who we are. I am straight but yet I aprove SO much of this project. I believe that everyone has the right to love who ever they wanna love and should NEVER be made fun of for it. You will (if not already) find someone who excepts who you are and loves you for who you are. Lady GaGa says that you were born this way so why not embrace it? I am proud of how much progress our nation has made by helping all the beautiful gays, lesbians and homosexuals. IT GETS BETTER.

But eventually I decided that it couldn't go on any longer and I got help. Somewhere along the way, I learned to stand up for myself and for others who live similar situations because hey YOU ARE NOT ALONE. We are thousands and we are there for each other. I built myself a self-esteem and an identity. They can always try but I won,t let anybody take that away from me again today. I survived and got out stronger taht I ever was. I did. Hold on and someday soon you will too. It gets better.

I was at the point where there was nobody to turn to, not priests, not rabbis, not church, not family, not friends, not even "Holy Mary Mother of God", nobody, and nothing but hopelessness. But there is one human being who came back from the dead just for us. The Lord Jesus Christ. The secret garden.

I am Catholic, and I do believe that people have the legal right to love WHOMEVER they want. I have a gay family member, and I love him SO much. I, myself, am bisexual. Not only do I dislike those who are homophobes, but I dislike those who make generalizations about Catholics being homophobes. Yes, some of them are. However, I believe any Christian person who is rude to someone just because of their sexuality isn't truly acting on their beliefs.

Anne Hathaway is my inspiration, I'm straight and I know I have a discreet gay friend, He admitted it to me and I just told him "Its okay, you're like my brother and I dont care if your gay, thats who you are and I'll accept that." and so did Anne hathaway. she was a deeply religious woman that wanted to become a nun but when she found out that almost half of the christian church started stereotyping his brother because he was gay, she changed her point of view and decided to support his bro. :D

I'm a Christian and I believe wholeheartedly in God. Why does that mean that I have to hate gay, lesbian,bi, transgender people? Why does that mean that I have to think someone else is 'wrong' or 'sinful' just because they are different to me? It DOESN'T. I believe in the universal love of God, NOT the Bible. God loves us all, if that's what you believe in - love being the operative word. The Trevor Project is amazing. Everyone is equal. Homosexuality is natural. That's all that matters.

@nizamm the phrase 'opposites attract' is used to describe opposite personalities, not gender. just because you are too closed-minded to listen to what people are telling you (that gay people are not attracted to the opposite sex) doesn't mean that they are wrong.

First of all, as a bisexual tween girl, let me just say that gays, lesbians, and bis didn't do anything wrong to this world. We don't hit on every person of our same sex that we see. We don't spread "gay germs." I honestly don't understand that when a guy kisses a girl, it's no big deal. But when it's a guy kissing a guy or a girl kissing a girl, so many people have to hate. Still, thank you for the people that ARE supportive. Long live The Trevor Project!

I really love this project even if I'm a straight girl 'cause I think we shouldn't bully someone around for that, is his/her life and we have to respect them, they are persons too, they have feelings like any other human has and we must not hurt them for that. Besides, we're on the 21st century for god's sake! We left those stupid thoughts behind a long time ago alongside any other thoughts about black people, jews and class division of people. Put your feets on the ground people and grow up!!

Ok, first I want to say that I am a straight male. Not because I don't want people to call me gay for saying what I am going to say. Because I want people to know that I am different from these people, but that I love them all the same I am not going to hate anyone who doesn't support homosexuals, nor am I going to pitty them. They do not want me to, and I don't have time to waste on them. I just want to say that there is NOTHING wrong with any of you, and that I am proud to say that I love you.

@mariekitu I apologize about anything that might have offended you, i weren't saying you had to if you didn't agree with it. In my opinion this isn't patronizing, it's a message of support for people who need it, and some people do need it. It's not just about gays and lesbians and so on, the message transends that, and I don't mean to be defensive if this is how it comes across, but I am not sexist or 'don't care about that'.

Here in Chile we don't have that kind of support, I told my parents I'm gay the last year on november, my mother get a little bit depressed and ashamed of anything that meant to be with me in public, that was so stupid because if i don't tell you i'm gay you'll never notice...Lol, my father really loves me and he feels really proud of me, I feel lucky for that. But the highschool was terrible for me, because there was a rumour about me and the people looked at me like crap.

@Fulltonic You're defeating the purpose of my original comment. Not all Christians are homophobes. I am a bisexual christian and we are more common than you think. I was raised Catholic, I went to a private Catholic school for 9 years, and I was the ONLY out bisexual person in my school. Like I said before, any Christian person who is rude to people for being who they are isn't acting on their beliefs and therefore are not true Christians.

@theherdmentality This is obviously for people who need guidance and support. Not everyone is able or willing to stand up to bullies. There are different ways of coping through bullying. And who knows, by possibly calling this hotline, these troubled teens may build up the courage and confidence to confront these bullies. So... I completely disagree with your comment.
