Thank you for starting this new playthrough ! really happy that you decided to pick the lemon canyon map, I'm not 100% confident on my mapmaker skills but i hope you'll like it ☺ also I liked how you tried to showcase the general flow of the mod, it was quite hilarious to see you completely forgetting about building a water pump 😂 I think you tried to rush tech a bit fast, there is no need to rebuild the town center that fast (nothing wrong with doing it either) but at the speed you're teching up you just won't have enough population to fill all those jobs i think, i personnally make sure i always have plenty of basic production (food, water, logs) before trying to tech up. as said in other comments, there is a nice spot slightly upstream of where you start to build a tall stack of pit-and-ladder lodges that eventually can let you reach the top of the canyon. also one thing that will likely confuse you : it is now mostly forbidden for beavers to walk on flat building roofs if there is no path on top of the building in question, that's... quite a whacky thing but that's the only solution i had, otherwise beavers keep getting stuck in buildings and so on. edit : the first few droughts and badtides are really short, you don't need to worry too much about losing your crops (except green peas) if the water drains out. for the most part you should be able to manage with a bunch of water tanks and food storage. looking forward to the next video !

Awesome that you picked that map! Lemons are available for all factions with the "more crops" mod, other factions even get a tree nursery with that Well-beeing max is above 100, some clean up is beeing done atm to remove obselete stuff that doesn't exist anymore, at some point max was close to 160 ( including frog statue) Pumpking Chips sucks when you get too many beavers, salt is quite a bottleneck but under 200 beavres it's awesome Pillows have a well-beeing buff now, you want them around for sure Extra receipes in the wood burner are there to prevent clogging when plucking lotus so you can "destroy" the part not beeing used LLLLOOOOOOOOOLLLLLL plank tank and no pumps! That my friend is the quality content we come to see "Domesticated Brambles" are a good source of wood once you have the beaverpower to manage it, not the wild ones ;) There are low tier irrigation towers inctead of abusing the build and destroy mechanic "Don't drink to much that will melt your teeth" is the lemonade not the "half fermented sake" Tapper can get water from the Baobab Using the Sawdust to make shrooms could save your ass, just saying (think it's the biggest killer on food that you don't have that up yet, tried a "no farm" thing and mush are awesome. rice also been buffed quite a lot. And green peas on paper look not as good as cabage but once you factor planting/harvesting it is a better food source) Last thing, for the love of god, please at least one more pumper and a few tanks

Can put the game on easy and don't use turbo speed too much. The learning curve is something else but it's very fun to play too.

→ At the beginning, it might make sense to build more lumberjack (and tapper) flags, so not everything is waiting for the one lumberjack to cut down enough trees for building material. → Having all the pillows is not critical, a single pillow is enough to get the stuff out of the destroyed cart when needed. The important thing is to build your new district center before you demolish the old one (as nobody will work if there is no district). (19:01 - you say exactly that, I guess I was too early.) → 33:54 you got two beavers with broken teeth running around. Is there a teeth grindstone for this faction? (Done at 38:01) → I think you can put gatherer and lumberjack flags also into the water (as long as the upper part of the flag is dry), so you should be able to access the brambles. → Get some more water pumps! Optimally you'll want to not have to pump during the drought, which means enough storage before that. → 48:27 "I'm not going to have them build this" - I'd actually suggest to have it built for easier reference, the 20 logs are not too expensive. But pick a better spot where it's not in the way. → 55:55 "burn excess sawdust" - this reminds me, don't forget to check your sawdust state. It looks like it's almost full. You might need a mushroom grower to use it productively, if you don't just want to burn it here. (1:04:25 noticed.) → 1:08:53 At this point you have almost no logs (certainly not enough for that additional lodge to block the water), but your lumberjacks are sitting idle. I think you need to mark more trees for cutting. (They are not complaining yet, because there are some baby trees in the cutting area.) (Noticed and fixed at 1:09:10) → It might make sense to set your cutting orders to just the pink trees, so your pines can continue to produce pine resin.

Love the playthrough. Love the waterbeavers. When you built your second farmhouse, the first was full of rice, which is why it wasn't harvesting cabbage (I'm guessing).

nah, the storage room in the farmhouses is 30 per crop, they don't interfere with each others. One single farmer beaver is enough for planting, but woefully insufficient for harvesting, it was working fine but there simply wasn't enough arms on the job 😉

Points to help, remember that in the base game, farmhouses hold 2 beavers. In water-beavers only one beaver can work. Also remember to place your news board and we need the greatest hero boards to help with your beavers well-being.

Oh man, those Lemon Trees at 5:45 are going to need some floodgate up on the top level to save them from the badwater. Getting that set up before the first badtide will probably require some luck. As complex as the water beavers are, I won't be disappointed if it doesn't happen in time. Side note: I didn't watch the first series because I wanted to try playing the mod blind, but never got around to doing that, so now I'm watching this series with almost no knowledge of the mod. I love that the shower is immediately next do and upstream from the drinking water pump. It's like Victorian London. Yum.

The water pumps have some filter built in (so they even work on a mix of badwater and normal water, just less efficiently). That's also the reason the beavers don't just go into the river to drink.

yeah, same. it wasn't really intentionnal, but on this map just upstream of the starting area there is a cliff where a stack of pit-&-ladder lodges fit really nice and bring you straight up to the top of the canyon =)

@@ehoffmeister8160 oh what the description calls "triangle roof buildings" is the farmhouses, tappershack and such, the architect lodge is indeed a triangle but that is a completely different thing. and yes it can still be used as a staircase 😅 (but not the farmhouses etc)

FYI: [ late game ] underground ruins ( leftover from Hoomans , need giant logs to utilize I believe) --> ... --> Addon building on it --> ... --> nuclear waste --> nuclear fuel

Need giant logs ( or half ones at least) to build the basic building) think the centrifuge also needs some but not 100% sure on that, built mine long ago and stuff might have changed. Cool thing tho now the cutting of the giant logs is not locked behind the foundry anymore. It gets expensive to cut but at least you have an option

Newest is 3.5.0 for the WB atm, 3.4.7 is the point where the save might break when going to upper version in really niche cases ( that I ended up having)
