I love these!! As a real estate broker, I feel like we need to talk more about stuff like this, people think we're doing nothing all day and it's easy breezy lol

I've been a Notary Loan Signing Agent for almost 6 yrs. I always wanted to be a Realtor but was scared. Now that I have so much experience with loans and being in the real estate environment has given me the courage to pursue my real dream. I will be a Notary Signing Agent for life though because this too has become my passion ❤️

The best investment one can do right now is investing on real estate though stocks are good but ever since I swapped to real estate, I've seen so much difference.

So for the person who asked about keeping your 9-5...I have a friend who works in the tech field for a bank. He works that as his 9-5 from home. But he has enough flexibility in his schedule to also do Real Estate. He started out with just one client at a time but now he is doing really well. He still has his 9-5 and maybe one day he will fully let that go, but he has slowly built his Real Estate career in the spare time that he has from the flexibility in his 9-5. The other thing is he started out with a firm that allowed him to only be a buyer's agent AND he has a ton of friends and so had a large pool of people to source for potential clients. So, I think it can be done if you are in the right situation. 🙂 He has become quite successful in his side hustle and is actually investing in flipping and rental properties now as well.

Excellent very candid and honest presentation great job. One thing you didn't mention as a real estate agent you can become a new home sales agent for a builder which gives you a much better work life balance. My tip to you is you can always find lost money but you can't find lost time, I think Brad Pitt said that recently, don't work so much to the point you begin shaking some day and can't stop. The best thing I ever did, and many people will disagree with this, is I bought a Time Share vacation , happy wife happy life, but I have never regretted it in fact I bought more, I don't sell them, but it made me go on vacation otherwise I probably wouldn't go, it makes you take a break smell the roses, enjoy the fruits of your labor, and reset so you can be the best you.

Do you use drones for your video content? I feel as if that’s one of the best things in real estate videography. If so.. what drone do you use?

How to balance work and life? I'd recommend a book by Chris Voss and Steve Shull, The Full Fee agent. Basically you lay out to the client that you're available anytime between 8am to 7pm or what ever time you choose to set. A client doesn't need to know about an inspection at 2am in the morning

Spot on on making a big cheque in one month and 6 months without. I had this happened to me for the very first time during COVID19 (market is not doing well) and it's tough since you have bills to pay and you're constantly worried if you can close in the near future as you see your savings depleting. 😖 I also work Monday - Sunday, specially in my country, real estate is very competitive and there are so many agents.

Hi Chloe! How are you doing? I really enjoy watching your videos because they really helps out. I just finished my three courses and I'm currently studying for my CA state exam and I was wondering if you have any tips or suggestions on how to pass it on the first try. In your part one you said that you had a link for someone that really helped you pass. I didn't see the link.

Im a bit confused. I thought you said you’re a solo agent, but you mention Coldwell Banker. Can you please explain this? Thank you 😊
@chloedeverrier Жыл бұрын
That's a great question! Hopefully I can clarify for everyone. Regardless of whether you are on a team or solo, you must "hang your license" with a broker or brokerage ie. Coldwell Banker. When you are solo, you work only for yourself with your brokerage backing you. When you are on a team, you typically work under another individual(s) who are associated with the same brokerage. Therefore, you would report to your team leader who then reports to their broker.

I got offered 50/50 commission split. Thanks for saying that’s a bad deal! I also thought it was an unfair arrangement. The broker is a very small local Business. What commission split do you think is fair for a new agent?

Can you do a video on how much money you realistically should have saved up? Also, supplemental income/ working another gig like serving on the evenings ?
@chloedeverrier2 жыл бұрын
I feel like if you can have a years living expenses saved up you will be in a comfortable and non desperate position to pursue your business! Keep in mind once you start there are business expenses on top of living. I know many people who have found supplemental sources of income - serving in the evenings could be a great temporary choice so you can be present and reachable for your clients during the day.

Ask about resources! What tools do they have for agents? Do they have mentor programs? Do they offer training? What marketing do they have? What is the commission split? Is there opportunity to grow your split? Monthly cost to be associated with the company? Do they have legal support? Things like that!

so basically i just find customers that want to sell their house for price X and give their info to the local realtor in which i have joined ventured with, and once the realtor sells the house for extra profits, i get % split. does that work? do i need license for that?
