This has been one of the more useful videos I have watched on KZbin. I'd actually forgotten that I have fallen arches. I always struggle to find comfortable shoes, running or otherwise and struggle with knee problems when running, which is frustrating as I'm constantly holding myself back when running. I will revisit this area armed with new knowledge. Thank you very much.

I had no idea that there were different gaits. The first time I was fitted, I felt like the person helping me was speaking a foreign language. I appreciate you folks doing this video, it's super helpful!

such a great video. I'm like Kirsten. Run with duck feet. Would love to see how she progresses

Kristen has a lower shoulder on the right side which twists her in spiral movements and probably the weight balance is off in several axes in different movements. I would not be surprised if the low right shoulder aggravates the left foot inner arch resulting more duck foot than in the right leg. My physio prescribed gluteal amnesia eliminating butt squeeze exercises for elimination of duck feet on top of foot strength for arch strengthening. I also actively forced my feet straightish later straight ahead for months when walking. That is the amount of time it takes to adjust mobility and handle the new stresses. Boy I could feel it. Once the glutes started firing the first year of cycling without clipless pedals with feet pointing forward aggravated piriformis. Perhaps not just from the added power generation from the butt alone. YT channel physiotutors made a video how 1 % of piriformis aches are from piriformis syndrome and the rest come from a dozen other places. My physio confirmed this. Now if I could get rid of that pain. I guess you can reveal new issues once the obvious troubles are fixed so you need to fix all the waves of issues you come across.

Great demo! Love it. Can you please advise gait analysis tool you used on the video? Thank you in advance.

Improve your running gait and not your shoes. I run in all kinda shoes and have a fair idea what I like. Everyone's gait is different and probably doesn't need correcting but strength and strides will help.

My left foot as a flat arch, it stemmed from. Glute injury over years. I keep strengthening my glutes over and over but no progress ever. How do I stop my glutes from turning off when I’m not even sitting

Test this and see if it helps. Make sure that you roll onto the ball of the big toe (and the inside of your heel) during your gait cycle. It might be that your foot rolls more over the outsides where the relationship between big toe and glute activation is quite important. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Sorry, the information is second to none on this channel but I just can't stomach this absurd multiple camera look. One moment you're talking to me, the viewer and making eye contact in an entirely natural way. The next, you're now talking to some bloke stood in the corner behind me. Makes no sense. Unwatchable I'm afraid .

Aww that's not good. Personally the camera angles don't bother me one bit. The information presented was concise and clear. I recommend just listening to it and avoid looking at the screen😅.
