I love that hack. I was going to just leave my front hockey sticks etc off as I have done a round headlight conversion and welded up all the holes in the process but I might try some of this stuff to cover the gap.

I am actually sooo inclined to pay you guys to do a check up on my Volvo and rebuild it with new painting, as well as all those upgrades, and rust protection add ons ....

It is satisfying to know it is all squeeky clean and sorted under the car!

I'm really enjoying watching the channel, especially the Volvo progress. 2 grand isn't that bad for the amount of parts and peace of mind knowing there shouldn't be any hidden surprises waiting to bite you.

It's actually a really great price for peace of mind. It's all done and dusted now!

The big old swede is looking good. If you need a steering rack return I’d recommend Kiley Clinton. They did mine and did a great job, good price + friendly and knowledgeable. 👍

Return should be rebuild!

I feel you both. I have spent a "little" more on our 244. Although, it includes an engine with 2 more cylinders . An aftermarket ECU, trans, new suspension bushes....Fun isn't it :). I'm looking at a sway bar from Classic Swede, just not excited about the cost doubling, with shipping. What you gonna do, smile and cough up. Loving watching along, cheers from NZ

2 grand? for a fully rebuilt undercarriage? that's sweet!

It's actually a bargain.... Could have spent a lot more! Sweet as now 👌

Haha I have that same trim sitting behind me waiting for this exact same reason, I was missing two hockey sticks (1 front, 1 back) so I took it all off.

Has it held up over time? You mentioned it could be bonded ? Could you maybe elaborate a bit on what bonding agent you would use?

Look at it this way: all the money you put into it is less than buying a new car, and your Volvo 240 will last much longer. And most importantly, it's your hobby, and hobbies cost money.
@WhitelandRestorations Жыл бұрын
Not one penny wasted on this build. It's probably going to last longer than a new car bought today too!

We'd always recommend if you're buying anything over £100 to pop it on a credit card for extra protection in cases like that. Sounds like someone messed up on their side there
