This article is for people struggling with imposter syndrome.Imposter syndrome is one of the most common “inner blocks” to following a heart’s calling or creative passion.
On one hand you really want to do this thing!
AND you might even feel quite deeply that you’re “meant” to!
But every time you attempt… or perhaps even consider taking a step in that direction…
Wham!
You’re hit from all sides with this plague of “imposter syndrome”
Your creative inspiration turns to doubt…You wonder…Am I really ready?Maybe I don’t know enough?I certainly FEEL as if don’t know enough!
Maybe I need to study more… or perfect myself a little more… or wait just a little longer for when the time feels right?
Sound familiar?
I have good news and bad news my friend…The good news is that imposter syndrome isn’t even real!
It’s a totally made up thing in your mind!Listen, I’m a coach, and specifically, I work with entrepreneurs…and let me tell you I’ve met MANY that have TONS of certifications, credentials, experience, and also talent… but are still stopping themselves due to this so called imposter syndrome.
I’ve also known people that don’t know jack get out there and make it happen! There’s actually a funny documentary I watched years ago called, KumaréIt’s about an Indian gentlemen living in New York City…
He’s a regular guy, college student I believe… just doing his thing.He’s fed up with religion and “gurus” in particular.So as a joke, a mockery, he set out to become a guru lol.He just grew out his hair and beard, bought a nice robe and declared himself a guru.
In very little time he even had a following!People would ask him… “Guru Kumaré, what should I do?”He’d say…Well my child, the answer is inside of you… what do you think?They’d peer inward for a moment… a bam! They’d answer their own question and then praise him for it! LolAfter a while Kumaré began to embrace the role a little as well.He speculated that because he placed himself in this situation, as one who knows something to teach… that sometimes, really inspiring and wise words would just flow out of his mouth!It was as if the people just pulled it out of him… because they trusted him.At the end it was actually a little sad because he finally explained that he was doing it all for a joke, but his followers were devastated because in spite of that, they had gained so much from him.Moral of that story…The position of willingness to serve raises one to a new level of inspiration and capability.

Hi! My name is Sally. 3 weeks ago my boss took me from salary to hourly and dropped my pay. 2 days later I quit my job and started writing a book. That idea never crossed my mind! But as soon as I sat down to write it, I couldn't stop. I recently started acting again and I realized that I struggled with the imposter syndrome but this time with my new found spiritual teachings I have been able to combat the intrusive thoughts when they try to tell me I'm not good enough. I've even realized most of the cast suffers from it too. I hope that I have been able to help and comfort them too. I sometimes question if this is why I felt the pull to return to theater. I feel like this is a universal thing right now.

Very Much resonates with me... I worked for Many streams but it didn't work at all.. For many years I struggled a lot at the end I realised that I am a twinflame .. the sad part is that that is too a false twinflame.. but I trusted in the universe,divine energies.. so I practiced a lot. Went through the deep dark night of the soul.. I questioned my presence, I searched for a Guru too but no one.. soul search and at the last I realised all My past,present, future.. at the end the divine gave me enlightenment... @@siriseals2580 I've been using as an ice breaker tool, as well as a performance enhancing tool for work crews. Just did a presentation for an instructors position, but, am also curious as to certification as well!! I'm level 2 Reiki Certified with no desire to have mans label attached when I can perform without, as all Reiki is a conduit for the energy. I'm not a feel good kinda guy, I don't need validation, but, am curious as to learning as much as I can for sure!! Thank you for posing my question as well!!

People often talk about it and it’s a real thing, but what about when someone knows they’re ready , they are aware that they’re holding themselves back doing course after course and that the ego voice is lying about their readiness but fear still holds them back?!

I’m finding as I continue to heal and awaken deeper that anything that you aren’t authentically doing or aren’t consistent with is because it doesn’t resonate with your soul. When you live from your soul you don’t have a choice whether to be inauthentic or inconsistent. The soul just is. And if you don’t find that you are living authentically or you aren’t consistent you aren’t doing or living from a soul level. The soul can’t lie. It just is. And maybe people expect your ego to show up and be “authentic “ or “consistent” but your soul has a different plan. That’s why social media has become a breeding ground of distraction. Everyone knows “ the answer” everyone is a guru about something. When actually you are your own guru.. and no one can tell you what your experience looks like. So if you aren’t consistently on social media and everyone would love to see more of your “ego” then they’ll assume you have imposter syndrome. When I’m actually your soul just doesn’t resonate with social media.. I’ve always been guided to go in the opposite direction of the masses. This is no different..

Thank you for this awesome video Victor! Imposter syndrome & perfectionism kept me so stuck for so long because I believed it - I didn't see it for the ego-sabotage that it was - I genuinely thought it was coming up because it must be true, and that there was something wrong with me. I spent so much time working hard, studying, trying to "prepare" more, thinking that it would give me confidence and make that imposter syndrome feeling go away, but not only did it not go away, it only got worse. It was all an elaborate form of self-sabotage, designed to keep me from really putting myself out in the world, because I in reality, I was terrified to be so vulnerable. Through your FTP course, I finally was able to see imposter syndrome for the sham that it is, and I am finally wiling to accept that I WILL suck at first, and make mistakes, and that it is ok to do so. Thank you again for all the work that you do, you are making a difference in people's lives, much love :)

Procrastination is the main driver of my IS. I feel like an imposter due to my hurried 'last-minute' preparation and it eventually exposes me as a fraud. This leads to experiencing a spectrum of fear, anxiety, and other pathology leading into the next task, effectively repeating the aforementioned cycles. Thankyou for giving me some real perspective and the confidence to see it for what it really is!

I know exactly what you are talking about “the psychic ability” I call it challenging since it feels like it’s coming from someplace other than myself. Thank you for sharing this. It's precisely what I needed to hear. I recently launched a KZbin channel, and to be completely honest, I was on the verge of giving up. The feeling of impostor syndrome resonates deeply with me, especially after undergoing a spiritual awakening and leaving my job. This experience has led to a profound transformation in my sense of self, which has been challenging. Additionally, I've been grappling with labyrinthitis for five weeks, experiencing constant vertigo (though I'm not sure if it's related to the spiritual awakening - the internet can be biased, but this has been confirmed by an ENT specialist). It's been an incredibly low point in my life. You're right in identifying impostor syndrome as what I'm experiencing, but also correct in saying it's an excuse. It's time for me to break free from this period of contraction and return to work with renewed focus. I believe firmly in the power of repetition to foster improvement - it's a central theme I advocate for on my channel, after all!

The Guru placebo effect…. Still, it reminds me on how people will believe in something that is not necessarily for real in my humble opinion out of desperation … And I hate to bring politics into the mix. I know it’s not the place for it, but it’s basically what’s happening with those who are in power right now and those who believe that these people in power are going to lead them in a direction that is right same thing with the media there’s no difference , it plays a pun peoples need to feel and believe in something so that they don’t feel their own desperation rather than to heal themselves and go seek out what is real. It’s amazing how easily people can be brainwashed.

As you were explaining how you helped your first client in coaching and how you can sense if they are relating to their core wound I felt really emotional because of the way you are, the way you approach your passions and your work is so relatable. I am a music teacher. but for me music is also a spiritual journey and I see helping people with music as a very deep spiritual work. Often it needs a connection with music but sometimes very little connection can be enough to begin a spiritual work related to it, as music moves us so profoundly. My passion is jazz, but just like you with KZbin videos or with other stuff you mentioned I feel deep imposter syndrome at 32 being a music teacher to focus more and more of my time to songwriting and performing mostly singer songwriter stuff but also a whole other universe: jazz music. Which is the epitome of musical expression for me. But as I stumble through improving as a music teacher, I feel I am guided in this, but I question my calling to embrace my fuller musical identity and expression through composition and performance and dedication to musical practice. It goes against so much negative belief about myself and who I should be. But I have been on the path of choosing this journey for 6 years now despite all the challenges and a previous well paid and comfortable but meaningless career I had to let go of. So as you were talking about how you discovered your inner ability to suddenly connect and help others I almost teared up because I could relate to it and you're such a humble being, your way of telling your authentic story of courage is so relatable, without pretension, I think. You're an example. It really should be so simple, but I still tend to overcomplicate it after so much work on simplifying it. I get stuck in ego, status seeking, escapism into pleasures. I tend to have suspicion with gurus and even coaches but no matter the direction, be it material, scientific, psychological, spiritual, as long as someone has a pure authentic heart, like you seem to have.

question; how did you push past the doubt and start coaching people? i feel i have a similar view, i belive i can help people spiritually, but i came across someone who manipulated me in some way spiritually sort of like a lesson, just like in kumare where the people belived they were from other worlds and embodied another soul. i cut the person out and feel lost on my next journey, in between what i belive i should do, and what passions drive me inside spiritually just like kumare we belive who we want to be and change. i want to be able to help people but i also need to help myself. any advance? ps. love your videos, you are a very inspiring coach :)
