I experienced the mildew towel smell once before.... I learned that PROPERLY drying your locs is imperative.... Oil and water dont mix... So mixing oil in WATER is what i used to do... I use the ACV... In a spray bottle mixed with water... and spray my locs before i shampoo... I do it once a month... And acv makes my locs softer and bouncy... Your locs are BEAUTIFUL.... Thanks for sharing

Aww man social anxiety really gets in the way sometimes. Personally I found that strengthening my connection to spirit, being clear about who I am, and speaking to others as if I’m speaking to myself shifts the energy. I hope that helps on some level🧚🏽♀️

Welcome to the journey! I’ve been using Dr. Bronners as “shampoo”, def no conditioner🙅🏽♀️ It just gets stuck in your Locs causing build up. Also, in the early phases can detangle your starters. Take care of your roots and you’re good👌🏽

Thank you. Very informative video. I started my Loc journey 9/25/20 🤞🏾✨💜I’m so excited about the process. So it’s best to mix some essential oils all together in a applicator? Any tips for starter Loc’rs?
@SammyDaGawd4 жыл бұрын
Yes definitely mix them in an applicator. Best tip I can give is to embrace the quirkiness of each phase. Each loc has its own “personality” so get to know them and you’ll fall in love✨

I just started my locs last week on 1/17. i already struggle with dry itchy scalp & have patches throughout my hair.. so i got distilled water, rose water & glycerin spray + sweet almond oil and mixed it together in a spray bottle. i am hoping this helps because my scalp be on FIRE! lol

I solved my stinky Loc problem with undiluted BLEACH!!…and shampoo on wet hair! I killed ALL the smelly bacteria in my hair👊🏽I washed for about 20 minutes and let everything soak. I literally washed my locs like I wash a smelly towel. Then I conditioned for 20 minutes to get them super soft. Then I dried using a hair dryer and added my oils to scalp and whole length of my bra length locs. My Locs are now fresh and airy and have a pleasant smell when I use my lemongrass oil. I know it sounds crazy but it worked!
@reejay20982 жыл бұрын
Yeah because bleach can weaken your hair but, not worse than if you color it I guess...vinegar and baking soda should do it.
@Pjweakly4 жыл бұрын
THANK YOU! i was so worried about my locs smelling but to be honest i have micro locs so the the same things apply?
@SammyDaGawd4 жыл бұрын
Hmm🤔 I don’t have experience with microlocs but I’d imagine it’s not the same since they’re smaller and don’t trap as much in. Maybe only the sweat and scalp smell issue if anything🤷🏽♀️

@@passionatelocs not as absorbent than a micro fiber towel. A t-shirt works for those locs that have no problem with locs drying.... but for those locs that hold a lot of water...mocro fiber towel.

The best way to combat loc odors is to dry the hair immediately after washes ...
