This is what people should learn, that if you earn a profit, doesn't mean you can quickly spend it on a new BMW or stupid stuff like that, often it was used to paying expenses, rent, wages, ads, utility and other operational cost, then after all of that was cut, you have to spend that remaining money to resupply some business owner even earn less than their minimum wage worker hire, even though they earn $200.000, it just get sliced brutally that by the time its end in your hand, it's already as thin as a salami but people always focus on those $200.000 and how those greedy pig owner taking all of the money from their poor workers. that the business owner must be going to Vacation everyday there are always a hidden complexity to everything, a lot of unexpected thing, that unless you ever did that yourself, you won't be able to appreciate the whole process

This is a genius 10 minute commercial for a content creator’s product/business and should be studied and analyzed. Creators don’t realize social media platforms shouldn’t be their primary income but it should be used to promote their company or brand independent of the platform just like this. KZbin realizes this also which is why they’re making it more seamless for creators to sell their products while still on youtube so they can get their cut as well and the same with tiktok. Its a win win for everyone

"Don't be afraid to raise prices." I see this mistake being made constantly in software (where employees cost the most and customers want everything for free). Not raising prices kills companies. Glad to see Graham accepting that this sometimes is unavoidable and it's usually not nearly as bad as you anticipate. Super valuable video!

Never let that business go. In the worst case scenario you just pause this business, it's too good to fail. As long as it breaks even, or you can afford to take small losses on it, keep it going! In the end it's going to be a massive success, think long term always.

2:00 you would think that the product that supposed to be focused on giving the customer the ability to supply coffee for themselves to make would not have to be so concerned about “the fancy box” the product is packaged in. if anything, the idea that if all the materials for packaging and delivery should be supplied in a way to save more money for the customer and the business, super meta

Mad respect for not only trying but sharing the lessons you've learned with your audience. People, as an MBA business owner, this is legit what it's like. Lot's of variables and market conditions to navigate, let alone customer sentiment (and these days, affordability, everyone's broke!) Owning a business is a grind (no pun intended there) and takes years to get going, which takes a lot of commitment, which means you need a mission to motivate you to keep pushing. I've only made it (so far) because I maintained a cheap standard of living for 15 years and also have two siblings who joined me as business partners (couldn't imagine going this alone, the mental toll is real.) Morning rant off, thanks again for posting!!!

What you should do is embrace your persona of being a minimalist saver, and have your coffee portray that. What I mean by that is, your customers don't want coffee shipped in a really fancy box. They don't care for the small pieces of paper nestling their bag of coffee. Your audience enjoys saving money, and supporting you. If you can save the company money by removing a label, and keeping things minimalistic, that can be passed on to the customer. Have it almost comical how you dont care for the appearance or small details.

My finance teacher in college runs a puzzle company, and our final is to find the NPV, IRR and payback period. I don't know his actual profitability, but something as simple as selling puzzles can make you a lot of money, and once you get the company up and running, it doesn't take much effort to keep it running.
