Seed oils are so highly processed I don't know why anyone would want them in their diet. And I think the studies on them(and just about all food consumption) are always focused on one aspect rather than the big picture. For example the red meat myth about causing cancer- most of those studies don't take in account lifestyle and other factors and are more observational. And Just like eggs are bad for you, then they weren't, then they were, then they weren't, then they were again. Just stay away from hyper-palatable processed foods. Plus this guy looks like he would have a stroke walking up a large flight of stairs. talk the talk walk the walk.

Yikes. I wish you had not said the truth, but something like Dr Maki thoughts? The title sound like you believe his info. Very disappointing. Go back to Don Layman please. Dr. Layman looks healthy and gives what I think is unbiased factual info. Dr. Maki looks like he has metabolic syndrome looks unhealthy. He also seem to be big on pharma and not life stye. Demonizes saturated Fat.

"The truth" hmm, interesting. I would love to see Dr Paul Mason debate with Dr Kevin Maki on seed oils.

I’m starting to think having a higher saturated fat intake is a good thing in context of an active healthy individual. Most health recommendations are made under the context of a generally unwell population. This means those outside the norm need to be mindful of that fact and not blindly follow blanket advice.

This guy is towing the line for many who benefit from seed oils. He is not even close to covering all of the issues that seed oils contribute to, inflammation is not even in the top 10 reasons to reduce the consumption of them to a minimum! He still promotes the whole lower is better thing with LDL, which has been clearly proven massively incorrect! Dr. Lyon, I am ashamed of you for this interview.
@sksteigerwald3649Күн бұрын
Can you please direct me to some videos about that high? LDL may not be bad. My LDL is about 400 and has been for many years. I am 70 years old and have no chronic diseases whatsoever. I eat fish, chicken, meat and lots of vegetables.

She's pretty shameless. she's already had 3 doctors all contradict each other about protein. One was even saying whatever protein you eat is what your body gets used to and that's the upper limit (uh what??). I unsubbed to her long ago. There's more consistent podcasts out there.
Seems people also have to get out of there echo chambers .... The people commenting seem to only want to hear "seed oils are bad bad bad"

Wow...reading the comments...so judgemental about his appearance...pretty crazy...now you have to look perfect to be on a podcast??
@kimberlyf48887 сағат бұрын
You have to look better than this when the subject of the podcast is about food and health outcomes.

What a garbage video. She's just putting her own opinions on to the person she's trying to interview. Without the guy even getting a chance to say his own peace, she's basically making his argument for him first. He's too much of a simp to actually disagree with her.
@xKarenWalkerx20 сағат бұрын
The real garbage is the LMNT product she promotes on here. Nothing but table salt. She should also lay off the roids...

This was such a disappointing interview Gabrielle! Why didnt you dig deeper into the different types of LDL? What about Triglycerides and hdl being more of an important health marker than LDL? What about centenarians with high LDL? I can lower my LDL by 70% eating oreo cookies for a month, does that make me healthy? Very sad, the important questions werent asked.
