How to get into tech sales: coursecareers.com/a/trent
The following B2B Sales Cold-Calling video is an absolute must for any company that asks its salespeople to call new prospects. The video explains the importance of clearly defining the company’s value proposition or value assertion. This value proposition includes external and internal influences that define the company’s value to its customers and market. The next portion of the video outlines the most common customer fears and concerns. A complete list of customer fears is provided so that the salesperson understands how to understand these issues and roadblocks when they are present in the call. Finally, the last portion outlines the importance of using leading questions after you have done your 15-second introduction or 15-second sales pitch. Using leading questions is critical to cold-calling. The three steps involved in a successful B2B sales cold call are 1) understanding your company’s value proposition, 2) understanding and identifying the customer’s fears and concerns, and 3) using leading questions to get customers to speak about their fears and concerns so that you can tie it back into how your company’s value assertion and proposition can remove those issues

I heard somewhere once "an objection is not a rejection" Try to view it as an opportunity for you to explain a different part of your product or service which would solve the customer's specific problem.

38.000 cold calls in the last 2 years? That is 19 cold calls every working hour (8h per day/ 249days per year). Not bad! Not taking in consideration that you send an email before a call... Do you think you lack personalization? I would love if you made a video how you structure your working day.

Kind of curious. How do you make the volume of calls while maintaining quality of calls (asking insightful and leading questions, understanding the value to the customer)? Do you research the business at all before the call and if so, how long does it take?
@TrentDressel
@TrentDressel Жыл бұрын
I don’t research - I pick up the phone and put in volume - if it’s important account, then I’ll do a little

How did you manage to do 38K calls in 2 years? I'd get burnt out in under a month at that rate. Also, what's your close ratio and average number of follow ups to close a sale?
@TrentDressel
@TrentDressel 3 жыл бұрын
averaged over 90 calls per day as SDR, it's all about loving process. I only worked on top of funnel. selling meetings and only getting credit if that initial meeting converts into demo/further disco. About 15% set rate on cold calls and 90% convert rate into qualified pipe
