Does anyone experience weird head pressure/brain fog with hyperthyroidism? I’ve had this for months along with racing heart and palpitations, CT scan and MRI shower nothing and I’m wondering if it could be a thyroid issue

Hello! First, we are sorry to hear that you have been unwell and we imagine how frustrating is not to find a diagnosis. Yes, the symptoms that you experience could be related to thyroid. Did you take any thyroid test? Let us know!!!!

@@mhayLabrador16 Hello. We hope that you will feel better as well. Yes you can take some herbal treatments. That have been studies showing how people improved with Yingliu mixture. This herb helps also with autoimmune hyperthyroidism. Moreover, you could add as well add vitamin b, lemon balm and Bugleweed. Lastly, probiotics are also beneficial because the intestinal and thyroid problems are somehow connected. If you have other doubts feel free to contact us :). Good luck with your new treatment, hope you will feel better soon.

Thanks for the information. I thought I might find something earth shaking here but unfortunately not. I am a very healthy 64 year old and all of a sudden my thyroid TSH numbers went to 60. Upper limit is 4. I was having medicals every 6 months and all before were fine. The endo put me on Euth 150 mg/day to get it inbounds again. I reduced that to 100 mg by adding kelp to my diet. I want to find a way to not take Euthyrox any more. Will adding iron and selenium improve the situation do you think? My idea is that everything is related to what I put in my body and these things just don't wear out like a shock absorber on a car. Regards

What about desiccated thyroid hormone? It is my understanding that the thyroid produces more than just T4 and T3 and these are in the desicated hormone but not in a synthetic. I had better relief from symptoms over synthroid.

Last week found out my TSH level was wayyy up. Prior to that I did tell my doctor that I get fatigued easily and that I'm having difficulties losing weight so came to find out my TSH is elevated. However my T3 and T4 were normal. So I'm lost. My doctor advised me to do a blood recheck in 3 months. What do I do in the meantime, no recommendation from my PCP. Any advice please?

Thank you for your information. I'm going to Urgent Care this morning because even though my lab tests said I am now hyperthyroid although I have been hypothyroid for over five years. My Dr. is too busy to call me for 12 days. I'm expecting a call July 4th so I know if I should be taking my hypothyroid compounded medication. I am taking nothing right now until I find out in a few hours. My legs are so weak and I have much to do.

Hi what will you say in regards to hyperthyroidism t3 is 19.7,serum ferritin-177-, all the fatigue and terrible symptoms has gone due to supplements taken for a month , do you still think I should take carbimazole as this gives terrible headaches also , do you think it can be related to hives that only occurs daily after eating ?and extreme rhinitis ? , lastly what is really the way forward with this malfunction of the thyroid system without surgery and radioactive treatment thanks kindly reply

I have all the symptoms of an underactive thyroid - male pattern baldness that is very advanced (I have to wear wigs), no eyebrows or eyelashes, very brittle nails, low body temperature, permanently hoarse voice, constant tiredness, sluggishness, extremely dry skin, easy weight gain - I have to starve myself as if I were to eat normally, I would be obese in no time. I have severe water retention, Vitiligo, and never had a menstrual cycle in my life. But because all blood tests show results that are just within the "normal" range - though definitely on the low side - doctors refuse to treat it and tell me "this is just normal for you"! Well, no, a young woman going bald with very defined male pattern baldness - ie bald temples, bald vertex, receding hairline - is NOT normal, Vitiligo is not normal, absent eyebrows and eyelashes is not normal, nor are any of the other symptoms! My body temperature is 35 which is also NOT normal - doctors ignore this and simply refuse to believe me. If I get a fever and my temperature goes up to 37 - which for me indicates a high fever - they simply say "normal temperature" and therefore ignore any infections. This has at times been so bad that they wanted to send me home from hospital when I was dying of pneumonia - I had to kick up a fuss just to get admitted to hospital, and sure enough - within an hour I was in the ICU fighting for my life, with the nurses saying they thought I had come in to die! I'm despairing because doctors won't treat this as long as the blood test results are officially within the "normal" range.
@eifionphillips3004
@eifionphillips3004 6 жыл бұрын
If your body temp is 36.5C or below you are not treated right. You could be low in iodine, try taking 5% iodine solution in a glass of water every day. A lot of people don't get well on synthetic T4 as they can't always convert this into T3, You could try adding in T3 one quatre a tablet every couple of days to see if temp goes up to normal, then stay on that dose. You should take selenium and zinc needed for hormone conversion. I bought T3 from Tiromel.net.

You should try going to see a holistic doctor as well as a holistic nutritionist (not a dietitian). You could probably find better answers by getting a different perspective. (Holistic doctors believe every part of your body and mind are connected and treat diseases accordingly)

What a crock of crap. If you still have symptoms your doctor should do a full thyroid panel including t3, t4, free t3, free t4, reverse t's. Free t3 will show a lot. T3 is the energy and alertness and more. if t4's dont convert to t3 then you treat it this way. Tsh is suppressed when you take thyroid medication. NDT natural dessicated thyroid is either from pig or bovine. Pig is the closet to human thyroid than bovine. Go join a thyroid group on facebook and learn how to advocate for yourself through self education. Also, low and deficienct thyroid hormone can cause asthma to worse. Just google anything yo want to know.

I think the best solution is the education on how we can help treat the thyroid. There are many causes, primarily deficiencies that cause thyroid issues. Like if you have iodine deficiency or overdose, which people mainly have deficiencies, because we get our iodine primarily from food and salt intake in many countries is low... Iodine is also a halogen, so we probably want to use as little salt as possible or add as little iodine into the salt as possible. Luckily most salts come with iodine and without, so we can choose. Overdose of Iodine can cause hyperthyroidism, underdose Goiter and hypothyroidism....

It's always better to take iodine in its natural form rather than taking iodine supplements in the form of iodised salt or any others. Using Rock salt or sea salt or crystal Salt is the best way to avoid any thyroid disorders. But any kind of salt should be preferably taken in very less amounts to avoid any health problems. Leafy green vegetables should be consumed daily in our diet.

I’m very discouraged to see young clinicians specializing in thyroid function adhering to archaic and rigid teachings. No, thyroid function is not only diagnosed or determined by lab tests! LISTEN to the patient!! LOOK at the patient! TREAT the patient NOT their lab work results! No TSH is not the most important marker! I wish thyroid health was not treated under the specialty of Endocrinology! These specialists are mostly diabetic doctors. It’s a boring, unchallenging mindset specialty. They order labs, prescribe glucose monitors and meds based on blood sugar results. Patient self monitors daily care. But this specialty (as a group) shows little interest in new research on thyroid dysfunction or protocols. The doctor on video hinted but went right back to same old…same old…. She mentioned T3 meds BUT didn’t elaborate even slightly on WHY T3 may be a godsend to a suffering and desperate thyroid patient!
