That is some very sound logic. Mashallah. I've never heard such before, of course I wasn't a muslim before either. It is such a beautiful religion in all aspects.

Macha'Allah. Love it that you asked the question of why can't there be infinite regress, It's mostly overlooked, by mostly those who just accepted it without thinking about it really. Magnificient video. Thank you.

I think of this using a balloon analogy. Say a balloon is being inflated (like the universe is expanding), then we can trace that balloon back to a point when it was empty. It would have had to been empty at some point, it could not have been always inflating. This shows that the balloon had a start, the question then becomes what started it? It couldn't be the balloon itself, that makes no sense. It would have to be an outside force. Now, the question is why? Translating back into normal terms, we know the universe is expanding which means it has a start. The questions of who started it and why are all answered perfectly by Islam. Who would know better these answers than the Creator Himself? And how can we prove that Islam is from the Creator? Study the Quran.

a beginning and an end is a condition for creation. not a condition of the creator. a creation is made with conditions, and the creator created those conditions. the creator is not restricted or bound by conditions that it did not impose or make themself

Also, for argument B: it is important to note that an actual physical matierial infinity cannot exist. A material universe that is also infinite does not make much sense. For more info, read Hamza Tzortzis "The Divine Reality"
@GaiusCotta-v8wАй бұрын
A material universe that does end also does not make much sense. Just imagine you are the end, then what is behind it? Nothingness is inconceivable cause you would have to say that nothingness is behind the end, but “behind” is a spacial connotation and it makes zero sense to predicate space of something that doesn’t exist. So either way you end up with an absurdity. Hence why argument B in this video doesn’t work since infinite regress is labeled as absurd even though many things in this universe are absurd in the first place, like what I just mentioned and things like quantum mechanics are also absurd. So it’s arbitrary to rule out the eternity of the world by calling infinite regress illogical/absurd. The argument is too superficial. Plus you wouldn’t even be able to know if there were one or multiple creators anyways, which is impossible to rule out despite the many (fallacious) arguments to the contrary Next to that: the solution of a spaceless and timeless God is absurd as well, but the classical theists of christianity and thr asharis/maturidis of sunni Islam always act like its somehow completely obvious and logical. To a human brain that sounds more like nothingness than a supreme being. I respect the atharis more cause they embrace the absurdity, hence why they deny the logical entailments of their views and why they wouldn’t really indulge into a cosmological argument and focus more on the fitrah aspect (fallacious though it is)

What do you say about some sufis who say Allah is the only reality and that we dont really exist? Do they mean to tell that we only exist in Allahs reality because he is the only reality? Or that everything is Allah? I dont see how is that different from pantheism
@WaleedMukhtar-zj7zsАй бұрын
Simply put, they mean Allah Almighty is an Independent Being while all other beings are contingent and dependent. So, they depend upon Allah Almighty for their existence. Hence, they call everything as having not any real existence. While, Allah Almighty is the only Being with real existence. Allah Almighty sustains each and every contingent and dependent beings and they are dependent upon Allah Almighty for their existence. In easy words.

@@WaleedMukhtar-zj7zs but i heard some of them say Everything is Allah or that Allah is everywhere because Allah is Al Haqq the only true reality, and that we cannot be separated from him because He is the reality, its really confusing and its disturbing my mind im afraid i will have bad thoughts about Allah because this really sounds like pantheism

@@WaleedMukhtar-zj7zs All creatures depending on Allah for their existence and survival is a simple and straightforward belief, so understandable even for new Muslims, Arab or non-arab, of today or prophets time. Who created Allah ?
@Ahmad_DavisАй бұрын
@@janrudnik6870 Allah has no beginning and no end. Therefore, He has no creator. He is the creator and everything other than Him is a creation. The one who is created is bound by what is customary for created things, i.e., weakness, tiredness, death, being in need.

@@Ahmad_Davis you're drawing a long bow there brother ! The creator has no beginning and no end . What about the mantra something can't come from nothing ? Is the creator an exception ?
@Ahmad_DavisАй бұрын
@@janrudnik6870 Yes. You’re coming from the premise that everything with no exception comes from something. Allah did not come into existence. He has always existed and is not created from anything. The universe has to have a creator and that creator could not have a beginning or he would not be the creator. Allah existed before time, place, space, direction, etc.

@@janrudnik6870 This material world is based on matter. God is not material. God is completely transcendent, and completely beyond anything we could ever imagine or comprehend. One have to keep this in mind. As Muslims, we assume that the Creator is beyond the material realm. So, who created God? God is infinate and uncreated. He is completely independent of creation.
