I really like raptors especially the first gen raptor because it comes with a V8. I really thought the 2021 raptor would come with a V8 but it does not. But I hope and pray that Ford will put a Supercharged V8 in the Ford raptor.

You hit the nail on the head. People think that it's for off-roading ONLY . It needs to be said that most specialty vehicles like this still have daily driving capability and meant for that most of the time. With daily driving comes daily issues, but it's great to hear your ford has been mostly compliant given the nature of the vehicle .

Just got a 2019 raptor. Had a week and gone off road twice now. Next week will be a 3rd time... possibly 4th as well. It is a ton of fun off road. I love this thing

6:45 You can see the heating elements showing through the steering wheel on the top. I have a 2018 Raptor as well with this same problem. Dealer replaced the steering wheel without hesitation. Pretty common issue. New steering wheel feels much better.

Solid review. Great truck. Dang, I want one! I am seriously considering the loaded 2022 Gen 3 Raptor, with the 35's not the 37's. Two quick questions, if you know the answers to: First, if I get the Raptor with the panoramic sunroof can I put a traditional roof rack above the cab, something to put ski or canoe/kayak attachments on? I don't care for the bed racks. But I also don't want a roof rack if it will interfere with the tight seal of the doors, so if you know about that aspect, please let me know as well. And second, Is there a well made tent that can fit into/over the bed, with the rear gate open/down for maximum length? I've never used one of that type, but I could see real use for it from time to time if it's made well, completely dry if raining out, and uses up as much of the bed space and open rear gate floor as possible so I could put either air mattresses or rolled out say latex foam sleeping surface inside. Oh, and I thought of a third question: Can or does it come with night vision? Might help see Big Foot if he's roaming around the campsite, or you know, bears or mountain lions or such. Thanks for the good review, and answers if you can. Thumbs up for sure.

The wind noise is just minorly noticeable on headphones, but not on something like laptop speakers, maybe some background music or software editing should fix that up. This is one of the few times I watched with headphones to hear some glorious revs. Awesome review.

I agree with your thoughts about the 5.0 versus the 3.5. Personally no matter how good the 3.5 is I would not even consider a truck without a V-8. Both my work truck (2020 XLT) and personal truck (2017 loaded XLT) are 5.0. Regardless, as nice as your new F-150 is I'm sorry and don't mean to offend you but with the side by side video I like the look of your wife's Raptor better. If I had a Raptor, like you said I wouldn't be some hard core off roader or anything like that. But it sure is nice to have that kind of toughness and capability if you ever really were to need it :) People would start to modify the v8 like the do on the Shelby's, gonna be some really nasty ones out there over 1k hp and even higher torque most likely if there's a v8 supercharged Raptor.

I can’t get more than 15,000 miles out of a raptor without timing chain issues. I’ve had an 18 and 20 model both needed timing chains at 15,000 miles.

Thanks for being honest about the TRX. Next year, the Raptor-R may be king of the trucks again. Exciting times. New Ranger due. New Nissan Frontier this summer. New 2021 Honda Ridgeline exterior. Jeep Gladiator is the king for off-road. And yes, the old Tacoma is as reliable as every and maybe it will get updated in a year or two.

My biggest gripe as an owner. Seeing @2:49 the heat shield on the exhaust next to the spare tire. Everyone Gen 2 under the sun came with them except mine. Best part, when you call Ford, the shields are no where listed in the computer's of existing 😒😒😒😒😒😒
