@@fpvillegas9084 though it was depicted on screen that when Chris (narrator) states that multiple defenders were killed and shows US and German troops being killed we can really assume that what he meant was that it was either US soldiers or French prisoners or even Austrian resistance fighters that were killed and not German wermacht as people have said above. The possible reason behind the animation at 3:03 was probably because Chris already had some German wermacht troop models available.

@ Green Machine, I bet you have never visited Eastern Europe. I live here and I have traveled a lot in these countries. I have spoken to many people who have survived the war, they spoke highly of the regular German soldiers even if they were the invaders, and people hate the Russian "liberators". The Germans wanted to annex countries and build an empire, they didn't want to antagonize the local population. Rape , plunder and murder was punished. The Russians on the other hand plundered and raped, and blamed it on the Germans after the war. Every army commits war crimes, even the Allies were no saints in ww2 or before that ( let's not forget all the countries the British and the French have conquered and oppressed, and the Native American genocide ). The SS went berserk in Russia and in France, but even the Wehrmacht hated them.

By the time we entered the war, France had fallen and Britain needed help lest it get invaded (although Germany never did get a positive influence in the channel). We may not be the best country, but we still did some good things.

UK asked us about why they sentenced Wehrmacht soldiers to death, which US didn’t wished to reply to. The sentences of SS is more justified, especially when you mention SS Totenkopfverbände who was the main source of the Holocaust.

Kudos to the men who still willingly gave their lives when they fully well know that the war was about to end. They didn't have to sacrifice but they still went ahead and died in the line of duty, the soldiers, the tank crew, the German officer and the fellow German soldiers have placed their lives on the alter of freedom so that we may enjoy the fruits thereof. Less we forget!

Constantine Joseph i know this is a bit old but only Gangle died the others were wounded and the tank crew weren't in the tank only the radio operator that managed to escape before it blew up was inside the tank.
