I like that you mention area denial. Sometimes it's much more advantageous to make the enemy turn around or get stuck in your ink for a teammate to pick off than go for the one shot and have them break your line. It ends up that you might get less kills but you are actually contributing to the win.

I've actually been switching between back and mid line with stringer for quite while. It really does make a big difference when done right and is one of the main reasons I like to keep a little swim speed in my build. Think my biggest problem is that I hyper focus on one thing at a time too much and fail to realize when I should do the other stuff I've learned half the time.

I agree this, and I think this is what makes Stringer one of the hardest backline weapons to master. You need to arc shots, know when to move up, when to do partial charges, etc. The high skill ceiling is one thing I love about this weapon

the problem with the tri stringer is that people are playing it like a charger, chargers are lean mean splatting machines but thats not what you want to do with the tri stringer, you need to be blocking off areas with your bombs, so if anyone goes in that secion of the map they get splatted

Thanks for the video! It motivated me enough to pick up the stringer after I lost 7 ranked battles in a row.

When I saw the title, I thought at first this was about the tap fire shotgun tricks haha (I mean by being so point blank to an enemy that you can land 60 or EXTREMELY EXTREMELY RARELY 90). Yeah, only do that in a last ditch scenario, it might get you a trade or kill if you're lucky enough. Jokes aside, these videos have been a good help at reinforcing my newfound appreciation for this thing. Definitely in my top favourites, which I would never have guessed a month back.

Got back to back defeats 4 times in tower after building up a healthy lead…it’s like the moment you push forward instead of staying back and defending the opponent’s inevitable push , you lose … Very frustrating…it’s almost impossible for me right now to judge when to push

Essentially the Tri-Stringer is an adaptive weapon not fully restricted to one specific strategy

Tip for museum D'alfonso, if you camp at the top of left side off spawn, you can get kills and fight enemies extremely easily. The only thing that can even try to challenge you is an eliter and you have a sign for incredibly easy cover from them in any good spot. Since almost nothing except a close splat bomb can reach you from ground, you have free reign to just ink and kill anyone who challenges you before toxic misting and jumping down to play the objective

There is a problem imo with this weapon and current ranked situation. It is very difficult to carry unless you are...well... you ...with those sick one shots 🤣 I'm experiencing a never ending pain(tanked my s+1... -1500) but your videos help a lot and I really enjoy this weapon. Maybe ill go back to blaster to rank up a bit before X comes but tri is much more fun.

Great video!! Thanks man. I would like to know how I could incorporate Toxic Mist in my play. It feel really redundant.

been thinking about making a video about how to use tri stringer's kit to its full potential, so i think that would help

Personally, although I know that there are other uses, I just use Mist as a way to get out of sticky situations

It’s useful getting out of situations. But I was thinking of using it for offensive moves. Like rollers and brushes move really fast. It’s hard to accurately shoot them down in one shot. So I end up trying to trap them in toxic mist which would hopefully slow them down enough for me to one shot them. But this plan doesn’t go as well as I want it to. It could be because my aim is horrible

Proactively It's good to toss Mist into areas to check for opponents who may be hiding or to discourage people from moving through areas/pathways you'd rather not have them in. Also doesn't hurt to toss some to assist team mates in their fights. Defensively it's an okay escape option if you droop it at your feet before running as throwing it at enemies who are already closing in often tends to result in them being halfway or more through it by the time it's active.

I mean, I think one of Tri-Stringers BIGGEST strengths is that to an enemy It's KINDA scary? And partial horizontal is SO GOOD for approach pressure

This can actually come in handy when playing Tri-Stringer at closer ranges. It's not easy getting dismantled from your position when enemies decide to gang up on you. May incorporate this into gameplay What are your thoughts on Tri-Stringer in Salmon Run?

I know this is a month old comment, but Tri-Stringer is great in SR. Fully charged shots can destroy bosses from a safe range. You can one cycle Big Shots safely from high ground. You can one shot Steelheads, of course. You can two shot a lot of the other bosses, like Scappers, Drizzlers, etc. Also, jump shots can hit multiple pots out from Stringers. Half charged shots are great at clearing lesser Salmonids and painting. They come out fast enough that you don’t need to worry about chums getting too close, which can be really difficult for other backline weapons in SR. You can just kite back and destroy a whole spawn wave easily. I loved it. It is a great multifunctional SR weapon that kills bosses, clears lessers, and paints. It covers all the roles effectively. It was in a rotation the other day on power plant and I made it to EVP 600 before I stopped playing. In fact, that rotation is what convinced me to pick up the bow as a main.
