I lost my uncle to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis last year. He was on the list for a lung transplant but due to his age and ill health (heart problems) he wasn't able to get one before he got really sick. I pray that medical technology progresses fast enough to give Stephi and everyone else suffering from terrible lung diseases (and others of course) a chance to live normal lives. All I know is that Stephi and my uncle both were/are amazing people that did more than most people do with complete health..

@Pdot, It makes me think of the MANY prescription medicines they dole out for the multitude of diseases...and how they have to monitor liver enzymes when a patient is on them. Our liver and kidneys filter everything and I can't help but wonder what kind of meds your friend was on after her double lung transplant surgery. I never worked in an OR that did heart, liver, lung transplants, only kidney (MMC in Portland, ME) but if it is like other organ transplant surgeries, she would have been on anti-rejection meds. That would put a stress on the liver if so and would have been something they would have monitored during her post-op phase/recovery.

It IS helpful. Cooking is tricky. I'm thinking about a shallow sliding drawer that comes out the back of the van, maybe with a support bar that extends to the ground, for frying foods almost outside the van. Also I like the idea of using bar magnets on the exterior above doors to tightly attach one edge of a tarp, which you could guy out on the corners for shade or rain. Magnets make a screen door too. I love the build! I'm so happy for you!! This project takes some balls, right? Chipmunks!
