My 1991 Pathfinder gave up the ghost last year after ten years of ownership (Chicago frame rust). I ended up parting it out, and when I pulled the front seats to sell them, I noticed the adjustable lumbar lever on the driver's side. I might have seen it when I first got the truck in 2014, but I sure didn't remember it, lol. After 300+K miles, it was adjusting the middle of your back anyway. But I bet it was nice when it was new. Nice work on adapting that NOS mopar pipe, btw, and love the Challenger content. I remember seeing a trick a while back on an exhaust where it had a short, capped pipe coming off it perpendicular post-muffler to adjust/cancel resonance frequency. Reminded me of those anti-knock stubs you see in copper plumbing above sinks (what is this dead-end for?). Some fancy math involved to determine the right length, I'd guess, or maybe not. Might be neat and cheap to experiment with.

Have fun. Ponder the transience of existence. You'll be done with this some day. No one else will give a damn. Just like my 77 Aspen when I blew out the rear end by putting it in neutral, flooring it, and dropping it back into drive when I finally got fed up with the cold weather undriveability. Like stepping on a balloon for the first 20 minutes after startup in mid winter. I had to jerk it to the left to get drive after that. Odd planning your trips around left turns.

Just stick it in the end of the pipe and hit it with a good air impact gun and it’ll put a bell end on the pipe so you can slide them together. You can actually make things look pretty nice, and any time you can save yourself a trip to the parts store is just a win 👍

Re: the turned down tips on the exhaust found with the superbird…. California started requiring all cars sold in CA to have turn down tips starting (I believe) sometime between 68-70 as it was supposed to reduce road noise in the city and something about scattering the fumes on the pavement to help break up the particle flow emitted by the pipes rather than it going out the back and straight up into the sky. You can see rear valances for the same year/model with or without notches for exhaust (no notches for CA turn downs) in most parts catalogues.
