The resident of The Villages who complained in his letter to the editor that the gates didn't keep non-residents out may not understand that most of The Villages' streets are public, tax payer funded roadways, and anyone can drive on them. He may want to consider moving to a truly gated community. As the other person wrote, the gates are for traffic control & to reduce collisions between golf carts & automobiles.

Hey, listen to your news reports there's about 80,000 people up there in The Villages Tampa has about 460,000 I think there's more crime in The Villages than there are in Tampa Florida the least it sounds that way

You have mentioned villagers being unhappy with the developer converting commercial space in Spanish springs into several apartments. Is that concern because of the loss of another restaurant (that can’t afford to pay TV the rent), or are there other reasons?

No...Harold Swartz, the Villages founder had that built as a resident only club house, complete inside with 2 restaurants, stage, bar, dance floor. It was for the residents and it was taken away without thought.

“What happens in the Villages, stays in the Villages” is a common theme with most Village KZbinrs. It’s not Skip’s and that’s what makes his channel so different than all of the others. It’s saving a lot of retired folks like ourselves from selling our homes for a fabricated community that is pushed by the rest. It’s not really the Truman Show like they say it is, but becoming more like West World. Thanks Skip for always being forthright with us. Your channel has integrity.
