Well, i had all the parts in my basket before Christmas and have been ready to sacrifice one of my neptunes to build it until I realized I really don´t like the skydiving space dude on the dial. And the more I see them the less I like the toyish look. Otherwise, the dial looks stunning. color, indices, lumed subdial, all great.

I am impressed with your work Pete. The watch looks stunning! PS: I believe they were planning to use 2426.02 movement on that dial, now available with 760 case watches. In case you want a date, pick up that model, swap with a black date wheel and you are pretty much good to go.

Minute hand indeed has a larger hole because the 2426.02 movement actually has a different pinion size. This is the case for many SE Vostoks as well.

Had a 2018, 2020 production gmt vostoks both defective on arrival with same fault beat rate went nuts as they wound down. Would gain 2 minutes a day. Only a 2426 from 2016 and the Neptune gmt work correctly. Love what works though.

The plug was pulled on this project because the vostok factory wasn't able to take on any other special projects. In addition to the Luna dude, watchuseek's vostok kompressor project was pulled, as were a handful of others I've seen across the web. None of them had the parts produced like meranom did though, so those of us lucky enough to find all the parts could get one built.

Dude i dont know what is going on at the vostok factory. I was looking for a 2416 movement on meranom for a year and a half. Finally found one on ebay a couple months back. I dont think they are producing too many spare movements right now.

Damn,the date on my Amphibia 170 Batman GMT is at 3 o clock so finding one with a date at 4 is the tricky part I reckon .Looks great otherwise .I saw a Russian review of one and now I know why I couldn't find one .Could be a great mod project and a no date version would be even better [I try to buy no date amphibias when I can]

It is, the hand is .9, the post is .87. I squeezed the minute hand ever so slightly to tighten up the hole.

Yeah I talk about in the video. That hand is for 2426.02 which is 9, the movement I used is 0.87. I had to jig it a little bit to make it tight

@@stepanfrolov59 I'm not sure how thick a Vostok date wheel is off the top of my head. I have seen people cut out a printed number, I don't know if it's on a piece of paper or cardstock or whatever, and tape that on the back.

The Swiss movement is better than the Vostok commy garbage they were going to do and it looks so cheap and fake comparatively. Oh wait it is fake… maybe don’t sell and scrap the parts early and let the production do its thing. 🤡🫵🏻
