The last season walking dead was great was season 4. It was still good up until Negan got introduced and then it went downhill from there. I stopped watching when Carl died because it felt like there was no point

It was just pointless. 11a focused on the reapers and that lead to nowhere and had no effect on the story or our characters. 11b focused on the whole Lance story which again lead to nowhere he really had no endgame and it was built up to be essentially nothing. Then they tried to rush all the important stuff in the commonwealth in 11c and make Pamela the big bad villain in what 3 episodes? It was a joke. They keep ramping up to nothing the whole season and spent so many episodes on pointless storylines

And how about when one-armed Aaron was trapped in the basement in Alexandria with the zombies just inches away and then suddenly there's a massive rope strung from a tree to the inside and he pulls himself out? I actually think you missed a few things 😆 the reapers sends out one man to deal with the horde and hes doing just fine chillin until you know, but at the same time The Commonwealh cant deal with a horde with two mountet vehicles in an OPEN field 😆 also when they arrive at the train station in the last episode, they split up in to two teams. One containing all the main characters and one with complety random extras. Yeah... Wonder whats gonna happen now 😆😆😆 spot on mate

Another dumb thing about the series was the way they kept wasting ammo, which was supposedly in short supply, by firing full auto bursts at the zombies. Three or four rounds in the chest, useless, followed by a couple in the head. With their eggshell-thin skulls, a single round in the head is all you need. And while I am on the subject, how about the way these supposedly seasoned veterans of zombie land bunch up together and walk down the middle of the road in enemy territory. Ridiculous. And Darryl, even though I liked his character, kept walking into traps again and again, despite his alleged skills as a tracker and survivalist.

1:16 that dude could have been saved. from the time he got to the doors and the walkers got to him was enough time for them to save him. lydia annoyed me this season. i would have liked her if the writers actually developed her character but each decision she made kept making me annoyed. and the person who pretended to be stephanie was left out. i had to go on the wikia to see her fate, but it's unknown. it seems after writing her deceiving eugene, the writers forgot about her. also, there is no need for these spinoffs. season 13 could have just been about them going together to find rick and michonne and fighting the final boss. these spinoffs are essentially just money grabs. and they never explained the climbing walkers. literally leaving everything in a plot hole

Negan being allowed to live is what killed the show for me. Yes, I liked the character, just as I liked David Morrissey's Governor. But nobody was more brutal to Rick's group than Negan. We conveniently forget that he's indirectly responsible for the deaths of Olivia, Sasha, and even Carl, or that he turned young women into concubines and forced them to have sex with him. Apparently, Negan's funny wordplay and bad boy charm are supposed to make up for all that messinees. Geez, may as well have written redemption stories for Beta and the guys who ate Bob's leg.

What bugged me more was how they suddenly bipolarised his character from being evil to being a good guy in one season. It makes no sense because they rushed his whole redemption arc and they didn’t understand the character. In the comic he doesn’t jump from the big villain to being a hero he slowly becomes more like an antihero at best, he doesn’t have heart to hearts every second episode like the show’s adaptation. They got too carried away with making Negan likeable and let his popularity take over his character development. What they forget is in the comic he doesn’t kill alpha to help Alexandria, he was genuinely trying to become a whisperer until he found out what alpha did to her daughter and then cuts her head off and gives it to Rick after realising it’s basically in his best interest. At that point he isn’t soft and weak like he was in the show. His whole redemption thing was meant to be gradual so it’s believable. Nobody switches up that fast. I’d agree killing him off would’ve been better than seeing his character be disrespected

There should have been a finite number of seasons, and a very definitive conclusion to the show. Different plotlines, non-repetitive circumstances, and a firm conclusion such as actually finding the cure to the zombie virus. But the AMC producers just wanted to milk this series as long as possible, and that's why the show got worse and worse.

I have so much to say… Maggie did not hold this grudge when her father or sister was killed but goes to this extreme for Glenn, feels bogus in a way. this whole revenge thing w negan is getting old, especially because he’s trying to be a decent guy.. Why don’t the characters talk about Rick or mourn him when he was the face of the show, it was just like “ oh well ricks dead” and why wasn’t his journey w Jadis explored in the final season.. This season had good plot twist and some good new characters but it was so many new characters it felt overwhelming, the time jumps were a nice touch until they started over using them.. I don’t like how the story jumps from one thing to the next, the reapers were such a good story line and we only got to see them fight twice after they were killed it was like “ oh, now something else” Characters clearly die when they are done serving a purpose for the show and it’s so obvious and I don’t like that. Whenever you see a new face you know it just to kill someone off because they can’t do that to anymore of the main characters, I was happy Maggie was back but now she’s kinda of a b*** . I don’t know, I’m in a love hate relationship w this season.

Tbh anything written post season 1 without frank i believe his name is, was shit. I mean rick mourned lori in a heartbreaking way, he mourned judith in one scene then moved on. When it came to carl he kinda mourned then occasionally remembered carl and read the letter. All in all this show didnt know how to handle loss. People would die and then want revenge for no reason lol. A good example is daryl wanting to kill dwight. Dwight was just doing his job as a jail keeper. And gave daryl every chance to stop the pain. But nope daryl had to be a hard ass. And for some reason he hated dwight for it. But then eugene responsible for countless deaths gets a pass (technically)

The variant walkers are territorial, and they are not the same zombies as the ones in season 1, since the group moved to the commonwealth in S11, which was in Ohio, that's why they appeared later in the season

Loved the first ten seasons. Disliked season 11. Season 11 left so many unanswered questions (the big cliffhanger of 11B is Oceanside's fate and they don't even answer what, what a fucking joke) and have characters just disappear (such as Virgil, Shira (who is probably dead but they didn't confirm it) and Rachel (same thing)) with no explanation. They focus too much on new characters and storylines with the Reapers and Commonwealth, and sideline important, long-lasting characters that we actually give a fuck about. And they kill hardly anyone off, with Rosita being the only major death and coming too little, too late. Every death before Rosita was either fairly minor, or a new villain. Very disappointing last season to my favourite show of all time. I did like the finale, at least.

To be fair the walking dead was long dead as an actual watch worthy show well before season 11. But by the end if season 11 the only conclusion I can come up with is that the writers and show runners had given up and were just writing completely insane shit to trigger peope into hate watching it until the end of he series. The storylines were beyond ridiculous. The characters and their actions and motivations were completely unbelievable. Some of the individual scenes were just insultingly insane (example: in the final episode a lady gets dragged off a pipe by dozens of zombies, with a baby strapped to her chest, they pile on top of her but she fucking incredible hulks her way to throw them all off with barely a single bite! "Spoilers" Meanwhile in other scenes a handful of zombies litterally tear a man in half within seconds of grabbing him????). I get that its set in an apocalyptic future where morality would have taken a back seat for most people. But does that mean that everyone has also regressed to a 12 year old mentality of planning and consequences of actions? Some of the scenes make me wonder if any of the writers have ever spent a single minute in the real world outside their Hollywood fantasy lives. Or if it was just a case of "group think" gone horribly wrong in an environment where saying no to an idea is the highest form of sin, so every insane idea can be used because nobody has the courage to say "sorry but thats fucking stupid" anymore. The walking dead, is to me at least, the epitomy of a show that had potentially great source material, initially pretty solid writing, some great actors and a clearly extensive budget but somehow managed to flush it all down the shitter. I can only hope that its utterly dismal ending will stop any chance of future spin offs of this great potential turned titanic of crap. 🤦 The final annoying thing is that they never really addressed the key problem running throughout the show. And that is that no matter which type of society. Be it blatantly brutal, or on the surface civilised but with deeper evils. That all forms of governance tried so far by humanity across the ages are inherently corrupt, where a small number if people will ultimately hold the power, and subsequently the wealth, over the majority who are just trying to get by. So zombies or not, we are ultimately all screwed! 😉

The reason they killed barely anybody off this season is because they already killed a dozen of the best characters off in previous seasons which pissed fans off. Now you're pissed because they didn't? Sure, some of this is valid like the thing about the "walker variants," which is an interesting advancement on the lore, but it could have been built up better and we could have done without the reaper arc if it was only going to last 8 episodes (plus they just weren't that interesting). Also, it is a bit odd that they're doing a Negan & Maggie spin-off, although the tension between the two could make for an interesting dynamic. Gave up watching it after season 7. I keep my ears open for certain plot points, but once I heard Carl died I knew I wouldn’t return to watching it. Such wasted potential it’s sad. This show was a king in ratings but they fvcked it all up around s7 and 8. Rick was going to get his own movie, which oddly would’ve peaked my interest but they couldn’t even get that into production… now it’s been traded in for a spin off show with Rick and Michoine 😒😒😒😒😒😒😒🙄 These spin offs make no sense, what is AMC trying to accomplish, nobody really cares about TWD anymore. The series ended and nobody really talked about it…

😆 Very valid points as to why Season 11 sucked. I stopped watching at the beginning of Season 10 after trying to power through it for so long. I figured I'm 10 years in, might as well see how it ends. That motivation vanished pretty quickly though. So years later I decided to finish strong and just binge the last two seasons and "boy oh boy." The OG characters were given a hefty serving of plot armor throughout the season. 🚨SPOILER🚨 Rosita should've died when she fell, and I'm sure they would've done it if she didn't have a baby strapped to. So i watched up to season 7 years ago and practically stopped. Glenns death just eh put me off. But recently ive been speed watching and skimming through the entire show until season 8. And heres what ive gathered. Post season 6 the show starts to go heavily woke. More poc are in positions of power, more women are in positions of power, there are literally gay couples everywhere and every single freaking bad guy is a white male. And the good white males are all cucks to some female of the show. It is no suprise the fans dropped the show post season 7. Season 1 and parts of season 5 (rick grimes savage moments) are the best in the series.

I loved it until season 5, then stopped watching, because the stupidity outweighed the quality elements. The first 5 seasons had stupidity as well, but I still loved it, cause it was balanced with good stuff, pretty much like Game of Thrones. But then it got absolutely ridiculous, and I couldn't continue at all, I just felt crushed by the disappointment. Now all these years later I'd totally forgotten about it, and suddenly heard a couple days ago that it was finally ending, and I just HAD to come on youtube and search clips and reviews of the final episode, because I thought that, naturally, it would finally reveal the mysterious reason for the zombies, which was like the number one point of the show? AND THEY DIDN'T? Not only did they not resolve the main theme of the show, but they left it open-ended with the characters as well? And I checked the comments on the videos, seems like people are actually happy with how they ended it? I mean, I'm aware the masses are generally stupid, but that's taking it to a whole different level. I really loved your video tho, it helped me vent my anger, you got a sub + bell, keep it going.
