In some fights like ozma you can pull someone to you, when there is a rift in between, so that player gonna fall and if you run back quickly enough they can't say who did it or even what kills them. Just don't laugh too loud in discord, so you don't get busted.

Want to note one thing about Cure 1. It has a shorter cast time than Cure 2. So in the niche case that a single player needs just a bit of health to not die and needs it RIGHT NOW, Cure 1 may be the better option since Cure 2 might be too slow. (This is a rare benefit, but it has saved multiple wipes for me, so I figured I'd share it.)

But in order for that very niche time to arrise, you have to have all your other instant OGCD abilities on cooldown and no lilies, which is almost never.

@@aceman67 It definitely happens. A good example: week one Oracle single apocalypse, you script benediction for the tankbuster. Then there's a shared stack in the center, followed by the group spreading because Oracle hits a single player, followed by a raidwide. You can plan on using liles for the stack damage and tetra for the single player who takes the extra hit. But what if you don't have tetra because someone got hit by one of the apoc circles before the stack and you had to tetra them to keep them alive through the stack damage? Well, now you might want to heal that extra hit player with cure 1. On fresh, early prog, you lack free oGCDs and lilies more often than you think. The heal plans can be very tight and you may already have had to use the few instants you do have available to fix some other problem.

@@aceman67 Cure 1 has saved me lots of times while progging synched T9 and T13. WHM's only cooldown at lvl 50 is benediction, so its pretty useful for emergency healing

Just a slight change, it is completely ok, and tbh recommended, to let your lily gauge cap until you need the heals or the movement, or weaving, bc blood lily in all its glory is a dps loss. (4 gcds for 900 potency, whereas 4 glares would be 1200 potency). It's also ok to let your blood lily sit unused while you have 3 blue lilies and save it to be used during raid buff windows (trick attack, pots). What it's not ok to do is blow a lily while you have a bloomed red lily, or caste cureII/medica while you have their respective afflatus.

meanwhile, as a WHM, AST is hard as shit. "What do you mean I have to use cards?" SCH is even worse. Having Assize, Lucid Dreaming, AND Thin Air means it literally doesnt matter what my MP bar says, I have mana. Having to manage Aetherflow is pain. Maybe WHM is just too small brain

@@phrogas4898 the entire philosophical design of SCH is to be unnecessarily complicated to do the most basic things without the payoff for the extra complexity. oh so you want to do a big heal and you don't have Aether ? well, simple, first use Fey Illumination > Emergency Tactics > Recitation > and the heal of your choice. nice, now you healed less than any of the WHM 3 OGCDs.

Two corrections to this video. First of all, while it IS worth to clip to use assize in single target situations, it's not in AOE situations. this is because you can instead use a lily to weave assize, because the 4 GCD's you use to launch Afflatus Misery out damage 4 Holy uses. Secondly, it's 100% okay to overcap on normal lilies in bosses. This is because using a lily is a damage loss over just using glare. You however are not allowed to over cap your blood lily as that's a damage loss over using it first and then a lily heal. This doesn't apply to AOE situations due to aforementioned damage gain that Misery has over Holy. Bonus tip: Use lilies during down time to stack blood lilies, this is good both for downtime in bosses, but especially in dungeons between pulls. Yes, you'll have less lilies avaliable for healing, but you will also gain damage due to being closer to blood lily.

It's funny, but as a melee Dps, i just don't expect to get heals unless it's mandatory, and will just heal myself or use my mitigations. Doing savage does wire you to see everyone as a dps. I even found myself sometimes muttering "don't heal me just dps, end this faster, bloodbath is up !".

I think you're underselling Cure 3 a bit just because in good savage groups people should almost always be able to stack for heals. If you have a lot of raidwide damage going out like the enrage of E12S you will get a lot of mileage from it. Between Rapture, Medica 2, and Cure 3 you can basically remove Medica from your bar unless your group is bad or you somehow manage to run into mp issues on WHM.

Pretty decent guide, kinda want to say about the overcapping lilies, it’s not okay to use a blue lily when you have blood lily available but it’s absolutely okay to overcap blue lilies if you don’t need to heal or move and using a free lily heal that 100% overheals instead of not casting glare (or casting dia) is always a damage gain 😁

Bruh, on E9S, do NOT use that blood lily until you need to DPS your cloud on phase 3. You can only build up 5 lilies in time, so if you need to use them for instant heals after you get your blood lily, do it.

Some slightly better openers from a WHM main For big fights with countdowns: regen/benison/tincture while targeting main tank at 5 seconds to pull then glare on boss as pull happens then followed by dia/assize/presence of mind (or swift cast if you need temperance super early in the fight) For trash pulls it’s actually better to put regen and benison on the tank after they’ve pulled everything as healing during the pulls will mess with enemy enmity(aggro) So for trash pulls just wait till the tank stops then go regen/benison/swiftcast holy/assize holy holy holy Additionally, cure 3 is an amazing panic button if you can pair it with thin air and communicate to you allies to all stack on you this combo gives ridiculous amounts of healing and can easily stabilize a party

Ideally if you wanted to weave, wouldn't you cast Dia before OGCDs? It's still quite a lot of damage, even if the DOT is already active. I treat it like a Ruin II movement spell.

I never use rescue. Whenever a healer uses it on me, it’s almost never for a good reason and I’m just mad at them for making me reposition. Because news flash, I am the tank and should be over there by the boss, not next to the healers. Best use I saw was preventing me from slipping into the walls during Shiva fight. And that’s the only time I saw it used well.

So, stupid question. When the tank is pulling wall to wall, how do I keep them alive on the way to the clump? Apparently regen is the wrong choice because I'll pull hate, but what else can I do? They die on their way there if I dont heal at all, I'm lost :/

Run after your tank, when they have aggro use regen (not BEFORE they have aggro), use your instant healing spells first, put a shield on them, you can use swiftcast for the first Holy, spam holy, use lilies/tetra, if your tank is literally dying use your bene or if it's on CD spam cure 2. Assize does aoe damage, regen your mana and also heal, so use it every 45 seconds. Tanks have tons of mitigations, they won't die while you trying to do your share of damage/casting holy, so don't worry too much about this.

Will start swiftcasting the first holy though, that's genius...will give me a chance to weave PoM and assize without refreshing regen too soon. Thanks a lot for the reply!
