Nobody repeated from 1969 to 1988 and many thought there won't be dynasties after Mikan's Lakers and Russell's Celtics. Then, LA and Detroit repeated and Chicago three-peated twice, with Houston repeating in the middle. There is no forever or never in history.

yes, you're right. The 70's went without a dynasty and no repeats. But if we look at the 80's, it went Lakers, Celtics, Lakers, Sixers, Celtics, Lakers, Celtics, Lakers. Three teams won the ring from 1980 - 1987. Those were dynasties. A dynasty doesn't necessarily have to be repeat rings. But then you could use that and say dynasties came back even earlier after the era of parity in the 70's that we seem to be in right now.

2020 lakers didnt disband bc of cap space, they disbanded cause legm wanted russell westbrook on the team. they let caruso go so they could make space for the trade. also 2022 warriors traded away poole due to chemistry issues surrounding him and draymond.
