I can honestly say that I never, ever knew that this match took place. Also, it's still funny to see Booker T going through, what I call his "Rock Phase". He was wearing the Versace shirts, wearing the sunglasses, started to use some of The Rock's mannerisms and even let his sideburns grow out. Taking it even further, he started to refer to himself as "The Book" and started using his Rock Bottom clone, The Bookend... Seriously, WCW creative!? For some reason, this version of Booker T doesn't get discussed about. Would be awesome if you would make a video about this, Mr. Wrestling Bios! Another awesome video, Sir!

I was a kid at the time WCW came to Australia in 2000, & I was super excited about it. Sadly, we missed out on the live events, but due to demand, they put on a non-televised show in Sydney which we went to. They actually did have a Royal Rumble style match at this event, which was better than what was shown here. I may be relying on nostalgia, so I wouldn't put much stock in my opinion, but the winner of the match would get a title match later as the main event. I can't remember much, but I do remember Nash getting a huge pop (he was my favourite), as did Scott Steiner. Steiner ended up winning it & got a title shot against Booker T (who obviously won).

I agree. WW3 was WCWs answer to the Royal Rumble match. However it had none of the charm and was always very badly booked. Too much happening at once.
