The weather man was wrong | Mutton Snapper bite ruined by storm

The forecast was calling for 2 foot seas and calm wind, so I was excited for epic conditions on my first offshore trip in months off the Treasure Coast. Well the weather man was wrong. I loaded up on live bait and went to one of my favorite offshore fishing spots to start my day. It didn't take long and the Mutton Snapper bit was heating up. Unfortunately the skies opened up, the seas got angry, and ruined the Mutton Snapper bite. I decided to head inshore and catch some Snook and Jack Crevalle before calling it a day.

Yup those are nice, what # braid on that one reel or mono at that too. I just purchased 2 Talica BFC reels, 60” of line retrieve per turn of the handle. Can I send you a live bait sabiki dehooker LOL it makes it so much nicer !

🤣🤣 Honestly I suck using those things. My baits never die so I’m like whatever. 50 pound on the speedmaster and 80 pound on the Talica. I use spiderwire blue camo or diamond braid.
