It was a great show, a few senior moments and odd mixes, but still amazing. Won’t be too many more opportunities….I flew down from NC for this!

Brings back memories, but I have to say the audio mix is rather bad in this video. I understand the poor general quality (live sound) but if this is what the audience is hearing, I'd be pissed because the ticket price was out in left field.

You want to hear "The Who" live ? Put on the live album 'Live At Leeds" and crank it up. That was The Who. With Keith Moon on drums and John Entwistle on bass. Back then they could do blistering live versions of most songs on 'Tommy' with just the 4 of them that would knock your socks off. They were arguably the greatest live rock band at the time with maybe the exception of Led Zeppelin. As much respect as I have for Pete Townsend...he should have never allowed this tired sounding over orchestrated show on the road. This proves you really can be too old to rock n' roll. Pete...Roger...put the guitars and microphones on the shelf and take your millions and visit the kids and grandkids while you still can.

A great album! My fav along with the classic Tommy album

saw them play as a 4 piece band many times about 50+ years ago. (Tommy Tour) Interesting to hear them pull it off without a full orchestra.

I disagree. I think the orchestra really added to both the Tommy and Quadrophenia sections. And when I saw them recently in DC, they sounded great.

I am a who freak this is the first time I have to say this sounds like SHIT. I have seen the who 5 TIME'S AND I don't like the sound with the orchestra. I have seen them with an orchestra in Philadelphia it was quadrophenia album. I think it was 25 YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF QUADROPHENIA. And it was fucking great. Maybe it's just this orchestra that sucks.
@scott74742 жыл бұрын
I’ve seen The Who many times as well…the last couple were with an orchestra. However, this time the arrangements and the overbearing orchestra ruined the show…I feel it was way to much orchestra this time…never mind their voices sounding really good, but of course not like before…they even forget the words in some tunes! Sucks gettin old, but I’ll take these guys and others willing to keep playing all these years…if they’re on stage, I’m finding a ticket..lol
@jimwelsh9972 жыл бұрын
@@scott7474 I believe it was that orchestra that didn't sound good. And Roger and Pete need to use a monitor with the lyrics. It's what Bruce Springsteen does if you are into Bruce watch him on stage. Looks like he's got his eyes closed he's looking down at a monitor as he is singing singing. Being old does suck I can't remember SHIT anymore. And having to remember hundreds of words in hundreds of songs. Not going to happen and they are up in their 70s.

@@scott7474that might be a conscious effort. First night of tour in Jacksonville Zak was slamming. Roger missed coming in on 2nd verse of “Who are You” so Pete and the other 35 musicians stop. Before starting the song over Daltry complained “All I hear are drums.” The same thing another night on “I Can See For Miles”.
