Agreed expect I disagree with the "should she have posted something about resources on how to support Palestine". Basically if she speaks out and chooses either side she will get backlash, but if she's silent she's also backlash. Speak about about the things your educated on, being silent on things you don't know much about is fine. And we should be looking at experts and people who are very educated on the topics, not the loudest voices influencers. Content Creators don't need to get into any drama, and they don't need to have to get involved in any of this. Brittany doesn't need to speak about these issues, and I feel terrible for her getting peer pressured by people and I hope she learns to not give into this toxic hate people are giving her, when she did nothing wrong. Where was this kind of support for Gaza earlier? The conflict has been going on for years. I just can't help but not take people seriously that suddenly *demand* public support for Palestine. @@josefinarivia Thats not true at all. Plenty of people want the people they admire to speak on issues that are important to them, wether it's the Russian-Ukrainian Conflict, the Isreali-Palestinian Conflict, Civil war in Syria, the genocide in the Congo or any other humanitarian crisis. If your platform is built on the discussion of progressive issues then your viewer base expects (not a particularly nuanced answer) but an answer, at all on problems in the progressive sphere. This issue is particularly concerning to Americans for a number of factors (I can't list all of them) which includes: 1. The American governments continued financial and dipomatic support for Israel 2. The multiple countries throughout the world in direct support or direct non-support of Israels actions 3. The public misinformation and propaganda spread by the Israeli government 4. The public documentation of this conflict and how its most effecting the victimized group 5. And more While we should hold space for other humanitarian disasters, there are a number of reasons why the Palestinian plight, recently, is so highly recognized and discussed. When someone learns about an issue doesn't change the validity of their solidarity. It doesn't matter if someone is ignorant on immigrant, lgbtq, or reproductive rights. What matters is what they do with the information on those topics when that person recieves them. I think this is a unique situation compared to maybe other social justice issues where someone can make a difference without necessarily talking about it online, because what Palestinians are largely asking for right now is for people to use their voices in any way they can so that we don't become complacent or numb to what's happening. especially considering that donating, while helpful, is not doing much right now since most aid being sent to Gaza is not being allowed in. this along with the fact that brittany is being hypocritical with her previous statements just makes it kind of unacceptable for her not to speak up about this. and I think anyone saying "influencers/comedians/celebrities shouldn't be expected to educate people" is missing the point. it's not about educating it's about amplifying voices who can educate and spreading the word about the genocide that is taking place. to be honest right now I think most of us are feeling so helpless about what we can do, so I don't really understand why you wouldn't want to help in any way you can, especially if you have a platform as big as brittany's where you could actually make a difference . like they're called influencers for a reason??

I watch entertainers for entertainment, not because I want to hear their politics. If I wanted politics in my face, I'd read the news. It's not your obligation to speak on topics you have no knowledge of, interest in, or control over, no matter how many keyboard warriors and echo chamber residents want you to feel guilty for not adding to the noise.

But in many ways, this very much is a US issue. It's being funded by the US govt using the US citizen's tax money.

The previous topics she spoke on were things happening in America, world too yes but Brittany spoke out because so many others were too, those topics are heavy but even blm for which Brittany isn’t really suitable, still seeing a white person saying right things helps, but this is a international conflict in the Middle East, a war? She’s not Jewish(that I know of) or Palestinian, was she reporting on the Ukrainian war, is she an international news channel

voting against ceasefire was the right choice, you sad that Hamas didn't get time to rearm and resupply? :(

oh my gosh, do you really think that israel is just strategically targeting hamas? they’ve been indiscriminately bombing civilians, amongst which are countless children. use some critical thinking.
