Down the same shithole it was in before CC came along. No sympathies here. I guess you can't fix stupid. Here they have a cash cow and someone who brought millions of new fans ( me being one of them) to watch their pathetic playing. So what do they do? They foul her repeatedly some pretty brutal ( almost no calls), they put her down because she's a WHITE straight woman. Even her own team did not come to her defense at times. Rumor has it that she's going to play in Europe. I hope she does and makes a boat load of money.

They hate the girls they go to lunch with and the women they have drinks with, but they’ll still go. They hate the girls they go on girls trips with, but they still go. That’s why there’s usually a huge fight on all these girls trips. They tear each other down all the time. Their makeup has to be flawless, they can’t wear the same outfit more than once per month, their shoes have the be perfect and different as well because other women will notice and make comments. “Those are nice shoes.” Means those shoes are ugly, and she’ll never wear them again. “What a cute outfit.” Means the same thing. “Who does your hair?” Means the same thing. Also, if you’re the one dude in an office filled with women then that’s like being a female CO in a man’s prison. There is no such thing as female unity. The WNBA suffers from getting Welfare from the NBA and they know that no matter how bad of a deficit they run, that the WNBA won't technically fail because of the NBA subsidies. If the WNBA were a male league, then it wouldn't have lasted more than 3-4 years since it is STILL unprofitable. The percentage of revenue that the WNBA players make is higher than the percentage of the revenue that NBA players make. But, they are TWO DIFFERENT business, and not the Girls and Boys High School basketball teams. The main source of revenue is ticket sales and men buy tickets almost 2 to 1. MEN make it possible for the WNBA to even exist, so the WNBA needs to be put on notice that they will receive less and less subsidy each year until it is ZERO. @@tomhack4318 It isn't that bold of a statement to suggest that racism can come from anywhere. I don't doubt that CC being both white and the purported savior of the WNBA is a tough pill for many to swallow. I also don't doubt that a few folks can introspect and identify, for whatever reasons, that they would be less likely to be a fan of CC if she were any other race. I expect these people are in the minority - being black certainly didn't stop Michael Jordan from being universally loved in my all-white Canadian community, for one. But I don't think it's up to anybody to tell any of these people what to _feel_ in any case. The racism that I care about is the way we actually treat others - what we say to them, what we do to them, and maybe more subtly, what we DON'T do to them. There's no such thing as "Simply Jealous". If I may ask you this, Is it okay to use violence against another athlete? Is it acceptable to encourage your teammates to do bodily harm to another athlete for your own benefit ? Is it okay to use racism ? Is it okay to be so jealous of another athlete achievements because that athlete deserves to be praised because of her scoring Points/ Stats… Please share your comments..!

I feel like she's too real to be bothered by any of this nonsense. Everyone knows how huge her impact on the league has been. She is the face of the WNBA. Do you really think she's losing sleep over one vote? One vote that everyone, including the person who cast said vote, knows she deserved? If anything I'd say it's merely fuel on the fire. She's a fucking warrior and that one vote is just going to motivate her even more. She knows who and what she is. She knows that haters are going to hate. They always have and always will. But hate means nothing to someone with the means to silence it. After a rookie season like hers she has very little left to prove. It seems rather foolish and short sighted for someone to give her a reason to prove more. It's like you already found out... You don't need to fuck around anymore... Nothing but love for Caitlin here. Keep representing Indy like a true professional. You're already above the hate so nothing is going to stop you from rising even higher 💖⛹🏻♀️🤒

garbage league without Caitlin. Not watching until next year and only Fever games

"we're asking for a similar revenue share" your league doesn't make any money. The NBA subsidizes them.
@the3nder12 ай бұрын
Which is why she said "revenue" and not "profit".
@cheetah2192 ай бұрын
She isn't talking about revenue either. She mentions revenue share increasing which is another way of saying I want to increase the labor costs of the wnba. Not increase revenue.

@@the3nder1the thing is most the revenue guess back into running the league... No profit means no extra to go to people's pockets

Very sad! Seems like i've already watched my last wnba game. That's it, those arrogant brats fumbled their michael jordan.

I remember decades ago when the wnba made its debut on syndicated TV. I will NEVER forget how hard they tried to sell the wnba to the masses. The NBA star players who tried to endorse the wnba during the debut just felt so forced & scripted, I didn't even bother to watch their first game of their innaugural season. From there, I just forgot about the wnba, and never looked back. Caitlin deserves better! I sincerely hope she leaves & plays in europe. The wnba does not deserve her. They never deserved the subsidies from the NBA. They deserve to fail.

All sports need a rivalry. Caitlin is a better player, but her and Angel shouldn't be compared. They play different roles. We cause more than rivalries, but enemies. Let them play. Enjoy the game don't control it.

I really hope that the Iowa Hawkeyes would hold an event and celebrate her ROY. I guarantee that would be standing room only and beat the WNBA championship attendance! That would be awesome and they truly appreciate her.
@themanfrommalpaso67532 ай бұрын
With all due respect, she’s NOT leaving the WNBA. She’s taking of all basketball activities after a year straight of playing. She has said in her exit interview that she will not be playing in ANY European leagues, or any 3 / 3 organized tournaments. She’s taking a mental break until next year. What she has said is she’s like to pursue her golfing career, possibly as a professional. She will be actually be participating in an LPGA sponsored event. She has serious aspirations to be a pro golfer. Good on her!

The WNBA has really shit the money bed. They have really miss handled the Clark and Reese. I know Caitlyn is the draw. But Reese brings the same attention. You just won't see it in your Country because of people's bullshit. It's definitely a white thing. I wouldn't even be looking for the WNBA if not for Clark or Reese. That's all I care to see. Aja Wilson got my attention because there team is back to back Champions...that's not a thing anyone just does on a Tuesday. But, she's Black, she's not gay and She's a champion in America.

Actually Wilson became the first WNBA player to score 1000 points in a season and she had the highest point average for a season ever too. I don’t have a problem with Wilson winning MVP. CLARK WAS CLOSE and I believe if the Fever had finished 8-10games over .500 she had a shot at MVP but a .500 record wasn’t enough.
@agapejohnlagon18632 ай бұрын
@@oldmanballer5088 I won't disagree with you sir but look what Caitlin Clark did to the dying league WNBA she revived it and bring it back to limelight in the Sports worldwide not just she most valuable in her statistics but she was also the most valuable to her fans and to the viewers too but I think if they CC and the fever were not eliminated(cheated) by the sun and finished the whole league she could possibly broke it cc is very very close to that 1000point mark
@FalllllАй бұрын
@@agapejohnlagon1863 MVP isn't "most viewed player" though. The statistics favor a player who had a better season. Assuming that the WNBA does their stats like every other major sports league does, postseason points get counted separately from the rest of career stats and MVP voting and the like is done before the postseason, so that players who don't win don't get unfairly penalized for being on worse teams and the eventual championship winners don't have the advantage of having done that for what is supposed to be a regular season award. I don't see how that of all things is controversial. Should she stay in the league, she will almost certainly win MVP herself, and probably soon.

It's WILD that they would do this to their ONLY HOPE. The only interesting WNBA I've ever watched had Caitlin Clark in it, and every time I see a clip of get she's getting fouled and still outplaying them effortlessly.

No one hates women more than other women and quite frankly, us male basketball fans are getting sick of it 😒 don't see us turning into a circus over bronny while vet players essentially assault him mid game out of jealousy 😂 the wnba made me appreciate the nba more. The maturity nba players and fans show is just night and day to wnba.
