Those two facts are that he has lived in Luton all of his life, and that he's had businsses and property - meaning, he's not broke. If TR was a racist, and one with a decent bank account, why would he stay in Luton? Why would he raise three children in such a diverse town knowing that they will mix with other kids from different ethnic backgrounds, form friendships with them and perhaps date or marry someone from a different race when they're older? No racist is going to do any of that when he could so easily move to an area where there is little or no diversity.

I worked in social housing management for 26 years in Tower Hamlets and i can tell you integration was practically non existent. A lot of the people i worked with only socialised with their own community outside of work. When we asked them to go for a meal in a halal restaurant (specifically for their benefit not ours) they always refused. When Xmas came around the few who said they would go for a meal said it had to be halal in an asian restaurant so those of us who were non muslim said no its xmas and we will be organising a proper xmas dinner. Yes, they go about saying it very differently, but both say the same thing about an issue that has been ignored for far too long, and its almost too late to resolve.
