This series helped us remember the '70s while The Waltons brought us the memories of the 30's and 40s. Both of these shows remind us to write down our memories because when we are no longer here our memories are gone. I challenge EVERYONE who reads this message to begin writing their memories and stories about their loved ones and special events -- and the ordinary days. Your family will want these stories the day after you're gone.

LOL @ Jack standing there all miserable, but was the one to finally break the ice. Dan Lauria was great. I so wish the greedy people would get over themselves so this timeless series can be released on DVD.

It was a Four Leaf Clover to represent Good Luck. The First Holidays after a Relative's Death is always hard. I know this from Personal Experience. My Dad (RIP) in 2013. We had to go through The First Xmas, The First Easter, Father's Day, Birthday, not to mention what would have been their 50th Anniversary. It gets better but you do get wistful.

Those "firsts" are tough.

@@u686st7 Yes, but you get through it. If there was one thing I did was I started going back To Church which helped alot. Another poignant episode was when The Coopers had their First BBQ without Brian and it was still hard. He died in The Fall of 1968, and then they had their First Xmas and Mr. & Mrs. Cooper were in such pain over losing Brian. Who knows Brian may have fought with his Father about going and his Father may have yelled at him saying "A Man Defends His Country".

This show was too deep and depressing. On a side note, when I was 9 years old I wrote Danica Mckellar asking her to marry me.
