The World Ablaze HOI4 Mod Is Like Playing New Strategy Game!

Today I'm trying the World Ablaze mod and its like playing a whole new strategy game
World Ablaze is a ongoing project to completely overhaul HOIV to become more challenging, historical and exciting to play. Right now it features a massive expansion to the tech trees, focus tree’s and large improvements to the ai, as well as numerous changes that improve the gameplay experience.
Each Nation has a customized tech tree and AI all with a unique flavor. (e.g. The Matilda tank is a highly armored heavy tank for 1939/40)
Also this mod closely follows historical statistics and dates, but a few concessions have been made for the sake of balance. It also assumes the war can go up to 1948 therefore some post war techs have been included even those after 1948 to take into account the arms race that occurs during war.

I love how realistic this mod is! In the base game it's easy to make a world conquest as Germany, but that's not accurate historically, this mod makes it a lot harder, as it should be

I would imagine it is very hard to balance this well. Because it seems like every game I play germany loses purely because of the allies and soviets still get all of germany.

It's still possible to do a world conquest but much harder to in this mod. Which is historicaly accurate for sure.

@@limeliciousmapping4652 mod is not updated to nsb dlc yet :the mod was basically the slowest hoi4 game you can ever play tons of new futures lets just say in germany you got 12 research slots and many more new things . black ice was back in the day only way to play hoi3 but right now black ice is cancer for potato pc's and only is recommended to people who have played hoi3 or are in to this cancer realistic type game play look it up its cancer

Hi there, great choice of mod! I remember suggesting this and Ultra Historical Mod a while ago (like, 2yrs! xD) on your Patreon Discord. World Ablaze guys have done excellent work, we at Ultra are very happy to have cooperated with them. They are using a by now very different economical model initially based on what we did for Ultra, it feels quite different from Vanilla for sure. Hope you had loads of fun with it!

I did 4 different playthroughs as Germany. Got utterly crushed every time. USSR is brutal and the supply is constantly a drag. Then, when the US joins the war, it all goes to pieces...

I know I’m now trying to beat them, it’s very hard, while I do have the early game down to a tee, as in all of Western Europe, Norway Denmark, and North Africa are mine before 1940 I even had 3 million oil, 11,000 a day of oil, 4000 planes, 192 division 24 of them being medium tank, and I couldn’t push through

You should send Bitter a “disaster save” but with a twist, there is no disaster, it’s actually a normal decent game. For this, he’ll never be at 100% focus because there’ll always be the thought in the back of his mind : “if I do this, then what if it triggers whatever makes this disaster worse? Whatever it is.” It’ll be the perfect plan. Hell cause his own downfall and you can finally begin your rise to the top of HoI IV!!! Consider it.

Alex you should put the AI difficulty up all the way and play Germany in vanilla I did UK and my 42 width mediums couldn't push with green air. I stuggled to get Italy out of eastern Africa I couldnt get them out of Libya before they sea lioned me with no port defense. Im good just assumed my navy would stop any attempts at naval invasions but boy was I wrong.

Hungary actually gets some good bonuses to Assault Tanks. They can also adopt German tech and make some seriously good StuG divs with god level soft attack :D
