Personally I think Battle planning is fine as long as it’s not JUST battle planning. A healthy mix of micro and battle plan works well for me And of course, CAS because CAS is king

Tbh when I try to push or hold a tile I'm having trouble with, I use some divisions to attack the offensive troops, that tends to work for me, and I don't use all of the entrenched in case I get attacked, I can defend Edit: To clarify a bit more my technique, it is pretty much provoke the offensive enemy troops to lose organization faster due to multiple combats Edit 2: Due to the other replies, yes, I mean pinning, just didn't know the name of that because I only knew it as keeping troops in place.

Yeah when youtubers try an encirclement they do it without problems. When I try to take a clean tile a encircled units a division immediately appears

It seems to have gone unnoticed by you so I'll post it again. Beat my record! Regular difficulty (or higher if you feel like making a Rambler fail), Ironman mode (you never know if you get an achievement), play as the Netherlands and force the Axis into a peace deal before the 11th off June 1940. In my game Italy capitulated on the 9th off June and the peace deal came on the 11th.
