MY favorite easter egg from this opening sequence comes at 1:18. Later in the film Gary and his friends talk about the origins of the phrase "Let's boo-boo." Steven Prince said it originated from the Shakespeare play "A Winter's Tale.," and Gary remarked that on the wall of Mr. Shepherd's classroom, there was something that said "Exit, pursued by a bear." Well, if you look closely at 1:18. when Gary exits Mr. Shepherd's classroom, you can see at the top of the wall a sign that says "A Winter's Tale," with the first half of the phrase obscured out, and underneath it, there are drawings of bears....

it's even all the little touchs with these films that make them perfect. for example the surnames of the main characters in world's end. Oliver Chamberlin, the chamberlin is a high ranking medieval noble who manages the house of the king (sorting out the business) and as Gary describes fancied himself a player but was all maths. Peter Page, the page is a knight in training as Gary calls him, the baby of the group. Steven Prince, fairly obvious Gary mentions that Steve saw them as rivals (very hamlet-esc) Gary also nicknames him Stevie-baby. Andy Knightly, the kings loyal guard Andy fights for Gary is willing to die for Gary and in the end saves Garys life. Then Gary King; in charge, the boss, the protagonist and focus of the story, he has a plan and the others follow the ideas and schemes of their "fearless leader". These little snippets of connection and reference are what make the corneto trilogy fantastic films.

the naming scheme of having their surname point out their role even extends further. The most obvious being Mr. Shepherd, herding the flock, try to indoctrinate the main cast to a "better way of life" but inevitably leading them to the slaughter.

Also the nicknames Gary gives his friends when he visits Andy at the beginning foreshadow Oliver And Peter getting replaced, he calls Oliver Oman which foreshadows his birthmark coming back when he’s replaced, and he calls Peter Petertron which is self explanatory
