The previous owner to my m240i had this issue of it smoking up like that, aparently he got it covered under warranty and they replaced the whole valve cover

Did this happen on cold start? I seen a b58 in a parking lot running for over an hour perfectly fine then started blowing smoke

Thats exactly what happened to mine. It’s a crack in the pcv diaphragm rubber gasket. Super easy fix at least for gen 1 b58

@@evirethproblem with b58s if u let them idle for too long the pcv valve splits and this happens, never let ur b58 idle long always turn it off even stuck in traffic for long periods of time

This happens to me on the motorway had to drive it home took about 10 minutes to get home was you friends car rough idling and once he fixed it did he need to reset the errors

What did you replace just the pvc valve cover? Or ? Cause mine is doin the same thing

Just the rubber diaphragm was replaced and issue was resolved
