One thing i love about Yamada Akihiro his art is that he uses 4 very different poses of art for the heroes instead of modifying 1 of the pieces. I also got really used to the pieces so i really do not mind them, and while it does not really fit the game his art does look great. And he did 7 out of the 1000+ heroes in the game so it does not really matter if you dislike it

Oh my gosh; I remember back when FEH was hitting the scene and my soul sunk when I saw Cordelia's art. Cordelia is 1 of my all-time favourite characters, not just because of her amazing and beautiful design but because of her entire character arc so to see her presented as a depressed sad and dejected woman just makes me so sad. Thank goodness later on down the road they did her justice and gave us some amazing arts of her.

And let's not forget: Areadbhar isn't even being gripped properly in his base normal artwork, it's layered _behind_ his fist LMAO. Dimitri pls, HOLD YOUR GODDAMN WEAPON PROPERLY I was never a huge fan of Chinatsu Kurahana's artwork for Three Houses, but man, for her first (and currently only) FEH artwork... that was a such a failure of a first impression.

Super late so feel free to ignore me but I gotta throw my hat in the ring and hard disagree with this. I see that take surprisingly often which I guess says something but I feel like a lot of people just had their standards set on something super like bishi & sexy for Dimitri in heroes because he’s the most popular male character (especially on the fangirl side of things, hi me) but he just looks…idk, how he looks? Chinatsu Kurahana has such an amazing grasp on texture, from the solid shining yet understated armor to the flowing fur and even his skin/hair her vibrant but grounded coloring makes everything look so three dimensional yet painted; fantastical yet realistic, which is a good summation of 3H’s style and tone in general, and makes her the perfect choice for it’s artist. Her characters designs perfectly grasped what her strengths are as an artist, as well as what 3H and video games in general need from character designs. Saying 3H doesn’t look right in her style just feels very sad because it was her style and wonderful creative talent that 3H is in the image of! It is in its truest form in her hands. In the face of that, I think whether or not he is holding his weapon properly feels like a very small nitpick 😭

To this day, I still refuse to ever build base Eliwood, purely because I hate those eyes so much; I _always_ send him home. I hate that I have to do it, because Eliwood is my favorite FE7 character, but it's just too painful. I'd rather be biding my time and save up for Brave Roy, despite him being a 4*SR and therefore rarer to get haha. There is his Resplendent, I know, but... well, Google blocks me from paying the wall, so that's out of the question too (unfortunately).

Resplendents for sure saved some of these, but I gotta say, some of those I dislike as well. Especially the ones that go a tad too far in the original 'Kingdoms', like the plenty that have the very strong butterfly motive. Resplendent Lucina especially is...not it.

Resplendent base Lucina offends in so many ways. Her base art was already amazing, and the fact it’s a massive downgrade instead of an upgrade like most of the resplendent art from Feh Pass has given (looking at you Raven). And for better or worse, being a part of Feh Pass means it’s behind a paywall.

I'd like to add one that I haven't seen in any "Worst Heroes Art" videos that I think is genuinely painful to look at, and that's the base Sophia artwork. In all four poses, she just looks anatomically wrong, and like her shoulder is dislocated. Also, Mae. I could go on for hours about how much I hate the artwork for Mae, but I won't because everything I hate has already been put much better by other people, plus I have others to list. The art for the Anna specifically in Heroes actually bothers me a bit, since her left arm looks shorter than her right by quite a lot, and the more I look at it, the more it bothers me. Summer Noire just doesn't look like Noire to me, like, they slapped her face on a much healthier body, and her attacking art has her breaking her back. I got jumpscared the first time I saw Legendary Tiki, because of how odd she looks. Her mouth is open in a wide smile, but you can't see any of her teeth, Her crown is also oddly spindly And I'd like to throw an honourable mention to Mila's unnaturally shaped hands in her attack artwork, which really brings her art down

Wanna know my pet peeve with these designs? It's how often we can see the outline of the belly button when someone is wearing skin tight outfits. Like, their belly button has SUCKED IN the fabric?? Even when fabric is close to your body, it doesn't do that. Like, we get it, you want to imagine them naked. Just remove the fabric at this point cowards!

Clair is really a shame because most of Echoes cast besides Alm and Celica are not really too popular and I dont think we will see a new Clair alt with a better art style anytime soon.. But I disagree with Ogma. I love this artstyle and I wouldnt mind a whole game with it. But I think that would be too niche for modern FE haha

I actually like Laevatian ninja alt art, I don´t feel it looks bad, tho the lack of shadding and lighting effects maybe makes it so it clashes with the rest of the game, but I wouldn´t call it bad at all, also that is the suzuhito yasuda style he doesn´t use much shadows I also like Clair´s artwork a lot tbh other than rebbecca I don´t think any of the ones mentioned in this video are really "bad art" some may be sad accidents like Eliwood and Athena, but none are bad imo as for bad art base OG Female Corrin is so bad, like the neutral pose is horrible, the coloring is pale and meh, the lineart in the hair looks awful, like I don´t know the artist but clearly he never returned to draw for FEH for a reason, it was so bad that I was extremely Happy when we got the resplendent which is beautiful imo another one is Sophia, FE6 is one of my favorite FEs in the franchise and I always liked Sophia a lot so I really hated her artwork in FEH, her resplendent is one of the best and most needed glow ups in FEH

If you wanna see actual unfinished/rushed art, look at base Seidr: one of the 4 crystals on her head was clearly drawn on the wrong layer, there's several pixels missing on her weapon and the size of the gem on her forehead changes from being ridiculously huge (bigger than her forehead) to miniscule in her summer alt... which were both drawn by Yoshiku.

For Rebecca, I remember digging into this a little. The artist heavily works in grayscale. And Rebecca actually looks great if you grayscale her image. What exactly happened in the translation to colour isn’t clear, but there’s a lot of clear though put into the image. Not really a defence of the art, but something interesting to keep in mind.

Raven's art looks like it would fit in Okami. Though I think Olivia's art is worse than his. Raven at least looks like he was taken seriously, Olivia's wasn't. Lol I don't agree with Ogma being here however. Though yeah, but most of the book 1 art had some serious issues. They definitely don't have some of these artists return, if at all. If a character gets a resplendant, none of these artists actually make the characters. Though I have a big hatred for Resplendent Lucina, like wtf is that dude? Probably the worst art in the game, worse than base Rebecca, worse than base Sophia, worse than anyone mentioned on this list.

I'm mostly fine with the heels on alts, but they do look out of place on base versions. In all of FE games I've played, Calil is the only one that doesn't look stupid in heels. I don't have any specific arts that I dislike, mostly just elements like characters in full armor not wearing pants like rearmed Lucina (I would harp on Effie too, but Fates did that first) or making them far better endowed than in their home game like Rinkah or summer Noire make me sigh in disappointment.

This video is a total miss. Only a couple examples you gave were actually bad, but the rest just feels like you're completely lacking understanding of what constitutes "bad" artwork. Like Gwendolyn's art for example, which was drawn by Masao Tsubasa, of Tactics Ogre and Final Fantasy XIV fame. It may not be "realistic" in her proportions, but the style and detail are immaculate. There's a lot of examples of this in FEH's art, and while some artists can be considered more divisive for their stylistic differences, I think they should be celebrated rather than reviled. Also what exactly is the problem you have with Raven's base art? It looks badass. Just because it uses thick black linework doesn't make it look uncool or too cartoony. AKIRA's style has changed over time of course, as seen with Falcon Knight Olivia and Astram, but the four basegame Heroes characters they drew are still awesome.

Most of the stuff I agree with what you said. However here's some more thoughts. Lloyd looks evil in Heros whereas (I think) he's more of a good guy in a bad situation (That bad situation being no boss recruiting). I genuinely like Rebecca's damage art. Her attack art is ok but her face still looks weird. My problem with base Eliwood is the chestplate, which he doesn't have. Hector's armor is straight up wrong. Just put his FE7 artwork next to his Heros artwork and you'll see what I mean. Also he uses Armads for his attack art while being unpromoted. And lastly, I just generally find the swimsuit alts disturbing
