The virgin high-profile actor > tight schedule > always has to compare scripts, and analyzes whether he's the right fit for the role and if he'd be able to pull off a good enough and memorable performance, to justify him taking part in it - or if he should rather star in some other production this theatrical year > constantly has to lose/gain weight, dye hair, or change their appearance for the role > has to argue with casting and PR agents all the time The chad Bruce Willis > appears on set for only a few days, because it's like his 10th film this year > barely blurts out a few words, can be seen in the actual film for less than 10 minutes > can even drink from his flask when filming the actual scene, and no one seems to give a shit > refuses to elaborate, leaves

Fun Fact: Frank Sinatra was offered the lead role in Die Hard, despite being in his 70s. The reason being the producers were contractually obligated to offer him the role, since Die Hard is the sequel to a movie Sinatra starred in called the Detective.

I still enjoyed a few of his later movies, even if they were terrible, they had their moments and it's interesting to see what people can do with limited time/budget. But I don't think Bruce minds all that much that people are making fun of them, I think he was doing it for the love of making movies and to make as much cash as he could in as short a time as possible.

Keep in mind, if a movie's bad, the actor's trauma doesn't save the movie from being bad. It's more than okay to laugh at a bad movie and feel empathy for an actor's suffering at the same time. I love Bruce's 80s and 90s movies. He'll always have a place of honor on my shelf. But his 2000s films really are just straight garbage.

i never knew Wild Wild West was rated so poorly. i recall fondly helping my mom move in a cramped toyota pickup truck, 3 or 4 trips at 45 minutes between stops, with 3 people in a 2-person cab, with the Wild Wild West soundtrack on CD playing the whole way. strange how the weirdest things can burrow their way into your brain and leave a permanent impact, huh?

I genuinely love that movie for it's steampunk western aesthetics, the CGI was pretty good for it's time and kinda still holds up, and the comedy and acting for the most parts was also great. I really don't see why it has such a low score and I was kinda baffled when Pryo got to that part.

The only thing I remember from Cosmic Sin was the 7 foot tall jacked guy in armor they had stomp around as an alien general type character who was genuinely kind of intimidating compared to the rest of the characters because he was a good physical actor with expressive body language that compensated for the fact that he never spoke. I hope the actor who played him gets better roles.

My father actually did set work for breach, and it is actually true that Bruce Willis gets from an lines through a ear piece. The ship interiors that aren't CGI are basically just a paint ball arena set up, the walls are wood and Styrofoam and from what I know the floors were just the floors of the big industrial white warehouse they were filming in. He also played a nameless zombie in it.

Bruce Willis is almost 70 years old. Dude has plenty of money, Is shitting out bad films to hoard more, and has had a reputation as a lazy, greedy fuck head long before he started shilling out the direct to video tax exemptions. I don't give a shit if it's alzheimers, dementia or whatever else. Just because he's sick doesn't mean I have to respect him as an artist, when hes a greedy asshole. You can be sick, and still just a rude prick ya know? Bruce Willis isn't some tragedy to cry over. Thats life. You get old and shit happens. He was lucky to have a job where he could be such a rich entitled asshole and get away with it, that doen't mean he deserves to be defended when his mental faculties fail and he's still churning out bullshit bad films for 20 years. Imagine making that excuse for a doctor or pilot. Just go home Bruce, ya greedy fuck. You're not exactly living in skid row. I usually side with pc arguments, but I dont understand why people defend this guy.

1:47. Weirdly enough, Stallone and Ford weren’t the first choices to play John McClain either. The book the film was based on was a sequel to another book/movie starring Frank Sinatra, so they had to legally ask him if he wanted the role of John McClain first.

My father has aphasia and it is really sad to witness. Aside from watching my father struggle trying to talk coherently he was assumed to be drunk while trying to make a purchase at a gas station it breaks my heart seeing these things happen to my father. Since Bruce Willis has come out with aphasia more people understand my father or at least that he is ill and it's much easier to explain my father has what Bruce Willis has. I wish I could say more I have so many thoughts on this but for the sake of sanity I would just like to say people can be struggling with illness either mental or physical and please be kind and understanding as the daughter of a loving father seeing people look down on him when I know how smart and strong he is really fucks with me. I am also greatful to Bruce Willis because him coming out with aphasia has made people more understanding toward my father and helps soothe some of that heartache ❤

I had a migraine so bad I had temporary aphasia, and it was terrifying to say the least. Imagine wanting to write a sentence but 2 or 3 words in you'd forget the next word you wanted to write no matter how hard you were concentrating. And then when you eventually type something out, it's practically incoherent and only conveys a quarter of what you were trying to say at BEST. It is truly awful.

I have aphasia as a symptom of frequent daily migraines, and I will agree with even this less severe form. Very annoying to deal with. It sucks to be listening to someone speak, or trying to read something, and words stop existing for a moment and I'm left to ask someone to repeat a question several times, until I comprehend it, or they get visibly annoyed.

I've had bouts of aphasia myself and it's scary. You think you're saying the right word but other words come out or you slur your speech kind of and it drawls. It would definitely inhibit an actor quite a lot since speaking and emoting is a huge part of their vocation.

Can't speak on Bruce Willis title's naming convention, but I've heard that Seagall has a deal in his contracts where his movies titles need to continue off his name, as a "descriptor" to his character. Steven Seagall is "Out for Justice" Steven Seagall is "A Good Man" Steven Seagall is "Born To Kill"(I'm running out of example off the top of my head, and I'm honestly not even sure the last one is a movie title lol, but you get the picture) Take it with a grain of salt though, because I know there's at least 2-3 movies of his that don't follow this rule.

The Orville is not a "boomer" movie, it isn't even a movie. It's for traumatized Star Trek fans like me who had to suffer through Discovery and Picard. And since if Seth MacFarlane just tried to make a Trek copy with no other spin to start with he'd get shut down, he made it into a comedy, kinda, so the network accepted it. Now New Horizons is... on the Horizon and it looks like the OG Orville with lessened comedy, like that Trek copy he wanted to make in the first place, because he's a Star Trek fan and understands it. I assume Bruce Willis made a cameo in it, which I don't remember since it was probably him in an Admiral's uniform sitting in a chair telling Seth MacFarlane to "go do something over there, it's your orders, bye".

I think I remembering reading someone who worked in one of these low budget movies he's doing lately and, apparently, Bruce shows up, films all the scenes he's in one after another and leaves. He wants as few filming days as possible, and it's the biggest expense in these movies. That's why it looks like the scenes are filmed separately, it's because they are. It's a shame when they try to shove big names into small projects, they ruin the whole thing most of the time.

8:17 I’m sure Pyro put that clip of Norm Macdonald in there on purpose for his relation to that statement but his situation was so much more in character for him. He died of cancer and told nobody and as a result, his death was regarded in the same statement as one of his most popular punchlines, “I didn’t even know he was sick.” He pretty much died just to complete the joke, and it worked. Damn near every comedian or friend of his said the line when talking about him, “I didn’t even know he was sick. RIP Norm, his battle with cancer ended in a draw.
