To be honest, if someone I'm not romantically interested in but I knew wasn't a bad person asked me to a dance in front of people, I'd probably tell them that I'm not into them like that, but if they would like, I'd still go with them. I'm not the best person, but hurting an innocent person's feelings, especially in public, just isn't for me.

Once a guy wrote me a note saying they liked me and wanted me to be their girlfriend. I barely knew this guy, and I wrote on the note back politely saying no, I didn't like them that way. I saw them throw it in the trash at the end of class, so no one should have known about it. Later a bunch of guys in my science class asked me how my boyfriend was, and I told them I didn't have one. They proceeded to tease me and say that the guy was. This eventually turned into bullying and over the years I've had to go to the student councillor multiple times, in tears. So now whenever guys of this specific personality and friend group say they like me or that their friend does as a joke, I become extremely blunt and say I know they don't, and I don't like them that way either. It'll probably stab me in the back one day, the bluntness.

5th Story: The stuff the person asked questions about is typical when interviewing for a job. The company should've answered the questions or just not interviewed the person since they (the company) didn't want to answer the person's questions. I also agree with Kyutie (Ellen) that the company refusing to answer the questions/not telling the person their salary is a red flag. A person should know the salary they would be making before deciding whether or not to accept the job. 6th Story: The girl felt like/thought that she wouldn't have any fun, so she should've said no when the person asked her to the dance. 12th Story: The guy shouldn't have mocked the person. The person asked in private and didn't push it when the guy said no. It should've ended when the guy said no.

In fifth grade, I was in New York w the school choir for a really big choir event. After the event there was a dance party at what I now realize was kinda a rented out night club. Only people from the event were there and they kids ranged from 9 to maybe 15 or 16. There was one guy from another school who looked to be abt Junior year in high school who was kind of the main dancer on the dance floor. For some reason that mildly made me mad, don’t even remember why, maybe cuz I was 10 years old and stupid. I noticed the guy’s younger brother walking around so a went up and stopped him. He turns around, sees me, then lowers into a bow holding out his hand and asks if I wanted to dance. This kid was my age too. I’m talking 10 - 12 years old, like what? Well I, never having had anything remotely close to a romantic experience whatsoever, gave an aggressive “NO” and walked away. I still wonder if I hurt his feelings-

My worst they can say is no: Basically this didn’t happen to me but the guy fixing the fridge and his company. The fridge has been malfunctioning for like a year and a half and we’ve been working with this company for like 3 months to see if they can fix it. My grandparents hired this company. They always cancel like 5 times before they actually come. They are always like “Oh my car broke down” “I’m stuck in traffic” “I’ll be there at 7:30pm, not 3” “I’ll see you in 3 weeks”, etc. My family gives them the benefit of the doubt even though when the company finally comes, it’s for 20 minutes and a different guy from the company comes each time except the last two times. He came yesterday for 3 hours but left his work unfinished, God knows when the company will be back. Yesterday, he got what he deserved. My dog bit him. My dog obviously doesn’t know what’s going on but karma got him and I hope he comes on schedule and stops his excuses. I’m like “why don’t you fire this company?” My grandfather says “well you obviously don’t know how companies work” my grandma translates by saying that once you sign a contract you can’t walk out (tell that to TV cast members lol). The guy’s nice but he doesn’t keep his schedule on track and I just have a bad vibe from him and his company

I don't think "Can you not?" is a red flag lots of people when they confess are insistence about getting an answer and probs don't know Aro or Aro spec people exist too. Not everyone is, of course. but those on both sides can take things badly. whenever someone confesses to me, most of the time it's a burden as not only half the time it's a seuxal harrassment prank but they don't get I'm not fully wired that way (Demisexual and slightly Demiromantic) and it's just a headache. "Why don't you like me?? but I love you!!" whenever I try to let them down gently, they dont care. so yeah for the red flag part it depends as sometimes.. we're just tired and we'd rather people just not. whatever happened to just friends or friends first too? Edit; Typos. Also, no I have not said "Can you not?" per se to someone who's confessed buy have tried many times to get confessors to leave me alone after I say 'I'm sorry I just don't see you that way.' I've also been the person who was laughed at. So mocking isn't ok at all, I think we on both sides should be careful. do what needs to be done but don't harrass NOR mock/laugh at the other person. That's not cool. Be cool, kids.
