In war we treat POWs, who were just shooting at you, better than police treat citizens during a traffic stop for a busted tail light. Now consider that if you were to use this force on a POW because they just aren't moving fast enough, you would be taken to court martial, jailed, then dishonorably discharged. Qualified immunity needs to go away or be seriously revisited. There was nothing done "in good faith" in this video.

It has been well litigated, in the Supreme Court, that peace officers have qualified immunity. In order to become a qualified officer you don't actually have to know the law. So when the cops detain or arrest someone unlawfully, the judge grants them qualified immunity, since they aren't actually required to know the laws they enforce.

Pretty much all trades (electrician, carpenter, plumber, welder, mechanic, etc.) all require more education, training and certification than it does to be a police officer. It's quite evident today, policing requires very little intelligence to get a badge and gun, then get to go around a bully everyone.
