Apparently Napoleon also called Marie Thérèse “The only man in the family” Side note. Marie Thérèse as in Marie Antoinette daughter. She survived the French Revolution, married her second cousin(I think) and they were running around in exile until her husband died and she moved to a “cottage” in Austria, her mother’s home land. The reason Napoleon called her “The only man in the family” was because she rallied up a whole friggin city in France against Napoleon and he was really impressed. Pissed, but impressed.

5:58 actually, the Ottomans were split on the decision about joining the war, since they were exhausted by the Balkan Wars about a year earlier. So some politicians who were in support of joining the war went and bombarded Russian Ports. And so they were at war, will a large portion of the politicians and the population did not support war. Not the ideal mindset for the largest war in history, but at least they tried.
