Victim of the c-section VBAC theory. I was told that I needed the c-section to protect my baby and that once I had one, a VBAC would be too risky. I switched docs for my second baby and had a successful VBAC.

Hi! I did my master thesis on reducing discrimination in algorithms (though my example was discrimination by gender in granting loans because that was the dataset I had access to) and it's actually really tough to do an algorithm with zero discrimination even with the best intentions. This is because they usually learn from human decision making in the past, including all the bias. But improvements can certainly be made and all in all, I do believe algorithms will play a large role in reducing discrimination in healthcare and other areas
