@Michael P. there wasn't a genocide It was an attack against protesters And it happened ONCE in whole German colonial history While France and Britain took slaves all around the world and forced colonial troops to fight their own wars and die millions like in India, Malaysia, Africa, etc.... So called foreign legions.
@chrismath1494 жыл бұрын
@Michael P. Maybe you could consider this: Being a dick to natives is not a characteristic reserved for Nazis. Besides that: The only colonies that the Third-Reich (maybe) had, was Poland, Greece, Yugoslavia and Norway. But that was more akin to a military occupation, not colonialism.

Some more things about German uniforms: -The Bavarian helmet is called a Raupenhelm -The Bavarian shown in the video is in the 8th Infantry Regiment, Shown by Yellow Cuffs and Collar, plus gold buttons. The Colour worn by most Infantry regiments was Red, With the Grenadier-Garde Regiment, 1st, 3rd, 5th, 6th and 7th Infantry Regiments having a shade of red as their Identification colours. -The Colour Trim on the Slouch hat for Schutztruppe changed depending on the colony, Blue for South west Africa, White for East Africa and Red for Togo. -Corduroy Uniforms were very rare to see outside of South West Africa, the main uniform in East Africa and in Togo were more similar to the East Asian uniforms with Blue piping around edges. -The Grey Schutztruppe uniform was the Home uniform, The uniform the Schutztruppe wore while back in Germany. -The Bavarians got their own special variation of the M15 Tunic, with a Field Gray collar and Bavarian flag ribbon around the edge. -Pickelhaubes had different markings depending on the state you were from. -The Reichswehr tunic is rather different from what you show, It had a Feldgrau Collar and Shoulder boards with internal angled lower pockets. What you show is more akin to the Whermacht M36 Tunic, With the bottle green collar and shoulder boards. -The east German uniform you showed Was an Early Uniform, Or Parade uniform later on. The East Germans Dropped the Grey wool uniforms pretty early on and Adopted Blumentarn camo uniforms, Which got replaced by Strichtarn, a copy of Polish Raindrop camo.

I have a suggestion: If you think German uniforms (specifically the SS uniform) are hot, maybe check out the song "Deutschland" by Rammstein (official video). There are many scenes depicted from German history and one scene is with Richard Kruspe wearing that uniform. He mentioned that he was uncomfortable wearing it but I think it still looks good. Also after a short time the stored argentinian cow lesther was out, so as a replacement helmets made of felt vor stamped sheet metal had been made. I sort of agree but sort of don't. Field uniforms became wayyyy better post-WWII. I should know, I own a BW uniform from the 80's. However, the ceremonial uniforms changed more to look like American uniforms. Kinda sad that they abandoned a lot of their military tradition, albeit entirely understandable. The Luftwaffe remained practically unchanged even to this day in terms of dress uniforms. As for east Germany, their uniforms were basically Wehrmacht uniforms with some new fabrics and patterns. Furthermore, flecktarn, which I also own some of, is based off of WWII pea dot prototypes. Cool stuff :)
