I’ve visit the Philippines 3x wasn’t till my 3rd time that I really got to have Jollibee and other takeaways I love the Yum sauce in Yum Burger not quite the burger patty however the patty in the champ burger is better just needs the sauce. Like the chicken but chicken flesh tastes weird from there. Jollispaghetti is my jam n go to and choco mello pie

But the remaining mangoes were at their end in terms of freshness and there was too much still. I think there could've been a solution, but it was already done sadly

Yo big props to her parents for teaching her not only to speak their mother tongues but also embrace their different cultures and traditions. If you come from a mixed background, a lot of the times the parents do the safe thing and raise the kid within the confines of the common language they speak since it's easier, and their cultures and languages get left behind a lot of the time. But the fact her parents were so adamant to make sure her and her sister embraced both their cultures is honestly really cool.

Random fact: traditionally there is a mango season. They don't typically bear fruit everytime but due to some technologies, we spray some chemicals (don;t worry its not harmful) we induce the plants to bear fruit anytime of the year.

USA had spaghetti on their McDonald's menu back then. When they brought McDonald's to the Philippines, they brought with them the McDonald's Spaghetti. Then the US discontinued their Spaghetti and the Philippines has been the only one serving spaghetti (adapted to Filipino taste). Jollibee does their own spaghetti probably just to spite McDonald's in the PH. I think it was just copied, however, they are very different in terms of flavour profiles (and ingredients). Most Filipinos know that Jollibee's spaghetti is sweeter than McDonald's and McDonald's is more sour or acidic.

The Chicken is paired with spaghetti because in a Filipino Children's Party, the "must have" in the food selection was Fried Chicken, Spaghetti and the hotdog with marshmallows in a skewer, and the birthday cake of course 😁. Back in the days, if the family doesn't have the budget for a birthday party, they bring their kids to Jolibee, hence the pairing.
