It's sad that Fernanda Torres only has a chance at the Golden Globes. She may be the first Brazilian actress to win the award but that may not happen. She has a great performance that cannot be forgotten, she could be the Isabelle Huppert and Sandra Huller of the season but it is very difficult. I hope Latino voters value her.

Emilia Perez es por derecho una obra original, emocional y fascinante. Y lo más destacable este año de lo que que ha nominado la industria de cine popular, sin lugar a dudas. Es genuina, auténtica, arriesgada y de mensaje trascendente a diferencia de las demás. Lo que no gane será por limitación del idioma, pues es la única en otra lengua (español) y está en territorio anglosajón. En mi opinión los premios tanto de director, actriz protagonista, actriz de reparto, película de habla no inglesa y guión adaptado deberían ir para Emilia Pérez por criterios meramente artísticos. Si no es así será por preferir premiar a película e interpretaciones en inglés, pero que es la más trascendente y única de todas, lo es.

Yes. It's also the fact that Universal owned Oppenheimer which won last year. Universal and NBC broadcast the Golden Globes which has shared partnership with Disney. Wicked wins the Golden Globe for Best Picture Musical/Comedy and all the other categories it was nominated in. This will be a major apology from the academy and also they could award the film with best picture for those reasons alone. It could be a green book scenario and pull a surprise upset. It could also be like Chicago where it sweeps the globes, critics Choice, sag and Oscars and nobody saw it coming. At that point, more words voters are going to start to take it more seriously. Honestly though, it was already a more serious contender than some of the other films nominated. I believe NBC and Universal want to cover their own tracks and pick the films from their own studios to win. That's how they backed up in heimer and that's how they're backing Wicked that's how they backed up Oppenheimer and that's how they're and backing Wicked. This is my very strong theory. Just like Oppenheimer, it has powerful themes, but in this case it's about fascism, racism and black power in a very white land. That kind of story will perfectly resonate with Awards voters in a way that others really haven't. Also, the Globes were accused of not being racially diverse, ethnically inclusive and equitable and this is their way of rewarding the film, as Cynthia Erivo may have a powerful speech on black power, speaking up and being heard as well as being seen. Interest message that can resonate with anyone.

I pretty much agree with you down the line. I will say as we get to the Oscars, I think Flow takes Best Animated Feature like The Boy and the Heron did last year. Flow is #2 only to Anora for me this year. It's gorgeous and so emotional. I loved it.

The reason people love The Substance is because it is genuinely unsettling, captures the emotion of being an aging woman in Hollywood so perfectly, is one of the great modern expressionist films, and then takes bold risks into horror camp that cause it to stand out. It's really a culmination of 2020s horror trends.

I feel that this is how it could be: Drama: the brutalist picture, Fernanda Torres (she has a lot of chances and more with the international committee of the GG) and I think Chalamet has the chance here. comedy/musical: Anora and Wicked are the leaders to win definitively. I think Mikey is the obvious winner and we all want the same and I think Sebastian is the best in category. Supporting performances? Ariana Grande for Wicked and Kieran Culkin without a doubt, and more with the fact that they are really protagonist performances. Conclave and Anora in scripts. I WANT Challengers to win Score but it's complicated. Director will be for Brady definitely and international film Emilia Pérez with El Mal. Animated Movie Easily Flow or The Wild Robot
