Understandable brother. This channel has a good video about that. I felt like I knew the strategies I had to use, but I kept giving into lust, until I laid on my face before God and truly repented (even as a long time Christian). I didn't fully rely on Him to overcome this, I was angry at some things, and I let doubts into my mind. I let go of these things and asked God to help me. It's been different now, I'm disciplining myself not to look and desire, to stop thoughts, and not stay home for a long time. I'm choosing to hate the things of lust and to run. And I'm still going to meet with my pastor and be accountable, because I won't trust my flesh. Serious matters take serious measures. You can be victorious if you really want to. God bless!

Idk if this is much help but I would recommend reading about where the disciples were called from in the 4 Gospels. For example, Matthew was a tax collector and they were really disliked and yet Jesus denied all of the "standards of society" and called Matthew to follow him. If you seek Jesus while on this earth my friend trust me he will not reject you in any shape or form that you're in. Jesus died on the cross for sinners and the rejected and poor and even Jesus was rejected alot of the times, even by his own hometown! So don't be afraid to seek Jesus or come into his presence at anytime! He's willing to take you just as you are and change you through your repentance and denying yourself to follow him! Confess your sins before Jesus and trust me he will not reject you. I also am confused and also obsessed about knowing what God wants me to do for him, and internally I crave an answer, a confirmation sort of speak, so I can harden my future path and redirection in life, cuz I understand that no matter what my passions and future life plans are, they won't be taking me into Heaven! Therefore I feel like I'm stuck in between and that gives me headaches and thats when I'm feeling to excuse myself for continuing walking in the faith, meaning avoiding sin! My sins "according to me" aren't that grave or big, but I'm sure God thinks different. I've accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior back in 2011. I'm 32 years old now! You receive graces from it and personally it gives me peace.So there are 4 mysteries, or the things that we focus on when we pray. They are the joyful, sorrowful, glorious, and luminous. Each day of the week is a specific mystery. To pray the rosary we say the Apostles Creed (a short prayer) an Our Father, 3 Hail Marys, and a Glory Be. Then within the Mysteries there are 5 things that we focus on. For example the sorrowful the first thing we focus on is the Agony in the Garden when Jesus prayed before he was betrayed by Judas and giving to the Jewish Priests. For the Agony in the Garden, we would say an Our Father, 10 Hail Marys, and a Glory Be. Then you repeat this for the 4 other things that we focus on within the mystery. When u finish this there are 2 short prayers. Overall it takes about 20-25 minutes. It May sound confusing but its really not haha. Rosary Center. Org walks through it really nice! Listen brother, my biggest weakness is Lust. You know watching this stuff on the internet. I am not saying I made it, I am far in it, but I trust in Jesus that I make it. Everything feels so easy to do. Listen here is my advice: Fasting and Praying. Read the bible etc(you don’t need to). But Fasting and Praying brings you really close to God. Then once you did that, start hating it. Yell at it, speak it out loud. When the thoughts come, hate it. Everytime you see, hear, smell it, hate it. It’s currently 4am in the morning, I could go watch the stuff on the internet, but I don’t. I don’t have the urge to watch it anymore. Today I’ve learned a lot about the end times and developing a relationship with God and now I’m beginning to realize things I haven’t known before. I will not be lazy and God is my best friend who loves me so much. He Leads my life and guides me through tough times, and even sent His only son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for me. We’re supposed to go to hell and burn for eternity for our sins but God loves us so much that He gave us a FREE gift of salvation and forgiveness. I always read my Bible and pray right before I go to bed, but it’s lazy and I’m motivated to finish because I just want to go sleep. It’s summer break, I have no school, so this is my chance to make a change in my life! I will prepare myself for the rapture and I will stand by God and Jesus’ side. I’ll do whatever it takes, even if it means giving up my own life. Christians are going to appear before the judgment seat of Christ according to 2 Corinthians 5:10, and 1 Corinthians 3:10-15 clearly states that during this Judgment seat you're going to get into heaven but you'll be losing your eternal rewards if you lived a life of disobedience. (This is supposedly after the Rapture.) Also, Galatians 2:21 states: I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing! And Romans 4:4-5: Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. When you referenced Matthew 15:9 you probably didn't realize Jesus was actually quoting the words of God in Isaiah 29:13. If you show consistency in your words, you would have to say what you said about Jesus. Let me quote you: " he did the opposite and disapproved anyone worshipping him: "And in vain they worship me." (Matthew 15:9) but now you have to say the exact same thing about God because those were the words of God in Isaiah. You demand that if Jesus were God He would have to say "worship Me" verbatim, but it's interesting how that God never says that verbatim in the Old Testament either. Why? Because He wants our love, and love by definition is voluntary and cannot be forced. That's why He allowed us to sin in the Garden of Eden, because free will is the only thing that makes love possible. This is what C.S. Lewis said in his book Mere Christianity: - "Why, then, did God give them free will? Because free will, though it makes evil possible, is also the only thing that makes possible any love or goodness or joy worth having" (Pg. 48). - "The happiness which God designs for His higher creatures is the happiness of being freely, voluntarily united to Him and to each other in an ecstasy of love and delight compared with which the most rapturous love between a man and a woman on this earth is mere milk and water. hi, i'm a 18 year old Christian and can say that praying is everthing. I've had SO so so many days where i really do not wanted to read my bible and thats totally ok. Talking to him like he is my invisible friend has helped me the most. and at some point in your life you want to read your bible everyday, because you cannot live with out it. But till then, wait and be patient, maybe following some Christian Instagramer to give you daily encouragement. If reading the bible/listen to worship music feels like doing homework or doing a thing on your to-do list, it is not the right thing. As i said, the time will come where you'll be so on fire for him. I personally am not at this point right now, but i'm on the right path. Be patient and listen to his voice. Sending lots of love:)

I believe when The Lord said “ make every effort to enter through The narrow door” means. 1. We know Jesus is The door and only door. 2. If a person is outside and not yet in, it’s pretty clear that person is Unsaved. 3. God bless you Allen. I was raised in a very legalistic church that left me feeling salvation was out of reach for me. (Saved by works kinda thing ). I was saved by our Lord about 4 years ago and it literally changed my life. Talk about a new creation! I went my entire adult life being unchurched and living a very sinful life. Now I worship multiple times weekly. Do home study and worship. Serve my congregation. Not out of obligation but out of gratitude for the Lords saving grace. The world needs more teachers like you. I’m shy as well, but a big help that was brought to me through scripture is to not rely on our own strength. If you’ve been born by the Spirit (through baptism), the Spirit lives in you and will work for you. The only thing you need to do is let go. I really hope this helps! God bless you ❤️❤️❤️

I pray for your doubt to go away. We all have it at some time or another. But we must know it is Christ that does the saving once we believe and put our trust in the correct gospel Jesus gave to us from Paul. SALVATION: To clarify the gospel of our salvation: Our gospel that saves us today is to believe Jesus died, shedding His blood, was buried and rose from the dead for the forgiveness of our sins. I Cor 15:1-4. That's step one. Step two: We must put our trust in this gospel for the forgiveness of our sins and nothing else, to be saved. It's that simple. Then start reading Rom - Phil to understand what was written to us the body of Christ, so we could know what God wants from us and who we are in Christ, once we are saved. Repentance is not a work Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. So we know Out only way to heaven is Faith JESUS and NOT by works BUT James 2:26 says “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.” I suggest reading James 2:14-26 This is not a contradiction to What Paul says in Ephesians 2:8-9 Paul says don’t depend on your works for salvation James says If you really have faith you will show it. Paul obviously had faith since he was preaching the gospel His faith made him do something some people just give their life to Jesus then forget about him years later never follow him disobey all his commandments and just because they said one prayer there fine that’s not true. @@alexgilliss I’ve realized the most sure way to know (even though only God truly knows who are and who aren’t saved) is to see their fruits, are they leading others to Christ?, are they being like Christ?, or do they just claim to be Christians but never truly do anything to show that they are truly saved, “salvation without works is dead” I don’t mean works as in work to get to heaven, cause that’s not posible, I mean the way to tell if someone is saved is to see the works they do because they have already saved. Sadly some of my family members are in the forward, which makes me sad and hurt, but don’t lose hope keep on praying for your family.

None of us are good enough to go to heaven. By right, we deserve death because as Scripture says the wages (the price) of sin is death. If we had to get to heaven based on our goodness no one would get there because we are all sinful and deserving of eternal damnation. However, because God loves us so much he sent Jesus his son to die for us therefore paying our debt. All we have to do now is to repent (genuinely ask God for forgiveness) of our sins and accept him into our hearts. After that we strive to daily love for God and do his works of serving Him, ministering to others, and following his commandments. When you sin, which you will even as a Christian, you have to repent and ask him for forgiveness. His blood will cover that sin so that when you stand before Him on Judgment Day even though you are not good and even though you made mistakes because you made a choice to accept Him you will enter the kingdom of Heaven. If our goodness could get us to Heaven, there would have been no point in Jesus having to die for us.

I felt that this part about narrow-mindedness was a complete speculation, I think that those words of the Lord could be interpreted completely different, for example that narrow door could mean that it is not a cheap thing to come to Him, that door is not wide, it is difficult to come, to follow his teachings is a hard task, and not many persons can follow, so the door is narrow, therefore you need to put your every effort, and the effort itself is considered as following, even if you dont do everything perfectly, but I feel that you have to be open minded, to accept everyone as they are, and love everyone, but at the same time not compromising your own beliefs and remain strong in faith, for that we need to make every effort

This video scares me because I've lost alot of loved ones who died young, and were not religous people... I pray for us often, but this "narrow minded" phrase got me feeling like I shouldn't think about their fate and worry about my own. They've had a rough lifestyle growing up so they weren't saints, but they were not bad people either. Just products of their environment. I always pray that Jesus will wash away our sins, and purify our souls so we can all live in heaven together forever.

Simply believe and put your trust in the new gospel Paul gave us from Jesus. Then start reading Rom - Phil to understand what was written to us the body of Christ, so we could know what God wants from us and who we are in Christ, once we are saved. The books Paul wrote are the only place we find the gospel that saves us today. Then read the rest of your bible that is FOR us but not TO and ABOUT us. 94% of the bible is TO and ABOUT Israel, yes Israel. Don’t steal their mail and try to make it yours. And don’t be fooled by people who tell you, you need to do some good work to be saved or to stay saved or to prove that you are saved. That is not the gospel for us today which is a free gift of GRACE when we believe and trust in what Jesus did on the cross for our sins.
