Thank you so much for having me, David! There's nothing I love more than talking about Bond style.

Ryan, this was excellent! I’m a T-shirt and jeans guy pretty much all the time but hearing the way you look at fashion is really inspiring and makes me want to step out of my comfort zone a little bit and experiment with better dress. It would be great to see more videos of you and David, talking style, both of your passions for it really show

Great job gents! I have a brown hacking jacket that I had made-to-measure on the order of Connery’s from Goldfinger that I plan to wear more in smart casual settings this fall/winter in much the way Ryan is wearing his jacket. In the past I’ve paired it with a black shirt that also gives a DAF vibe. Very versatile piece. Cheers to you both! 🍸

What a great video. Ryan talks a lot of common sense when talking fashion and Bond. I have a very similar outlook: what do I like, what suits me and not a case of “does Bond wear this?” but more a case of “would Bond wear this?”. I’ve subscribed to Ryan’s channel because of this video. 👏🏻

Finding what you are comfortable in - this resonated with me. Since starting my Bond Instagram I made a huge list of ‘sartorial’ aims, there were so many alternative items I found that looked the part for Bond, but didn’t look right on me. Take the inspiration of Bond, but make it your own

Certainly, Ryan’s business casual outfit screams autumn. I would’ve worn chinos to avoid doubling a material and I too am a sucker for professor/explorer outfits. As for David, I too am stuck on QOS and I would’ve worn the corresponding Harrington jacket instead of the brown bomber. 😂. Great video and best wishes! 🫶🏼

Chinos would be a more natural choice, but I was committed to the cords to keep on-theme with the Matera look!

@@AnalyzeThisMisterBond You pulled it off well. I’m a Taurus so I’m a sucker for earth tones anytime of year. I just tend to select each piece of a different fabric unless it’s a suit. Speaking of Matera look, I’m attending a wedding wearing a similar outfit but in linen, with divers instead of suede boots, burgundy tie with blue polka dots. (In Florida)🥵😂 Can’t get enough of Bond style and I look forward to seeing more content from you. Best wishes. 🫶🏼

One thing I learned over the years is, you can try to act like somebody , dress like them, embody their character and still end up looking like a fool.

I love QOS....but surely a great and first opportunity for a Directors Cut to be released...EON aren't doing much at the moment anyway.

Good sartorial discussion. I have used brown and blue for many years. It is a not so well-known combination. Steak sauce? Who uses steak sauce?

My favorite casual shoes of all time are my three pairs of Goodyear welted Allen Edmonds chukka boots. I have two pairs in snuff suede and one pair in brown calf. They are almost ten years old and basically look brand new. I won’t buy a pair of shoes if they aren’t Goodyear welted. I bought two pairs in snuff suede because for several years I wore them almost on a daily basis. You should not wear the same pair of shoes on consecutive days hence two pairs. If I am not wearing them they have shoe trees in them. Some people are afraid of suede shoes as they think you can’t get them wet. Wrong. They are about the easiest shoe to maintain. I recently shampooed both pairs with Saphir’s suede shampoo. After shampooing you rinse them under running water then pack paper inside them to maintain their shape while they dry. Saphir is a French company that makes the finest shoe care products in the world. After shampooing they once again look brand new.

Good chat! Only I could not help to think that blue shirt could look so much better if it was swapped out for a beige turtle neck jumper. Or even a lighter, neutral shirt. The blue seems too out of place among the earth tones.

David, Fantastic video. Two take aways for everyone: - wear what matches your body. At 6’4” & 220lbs with a body designed to pull an oxcart rather than ride a thoroughbred, there are simply designs from the movies that would ridiculous on me - especially at my age; - style not fashion. Take it from me, in the Bond’s trade he should look proper in Earth tones and dark suits because he should blend (not disappear) into whatever environment he is working. Think Cary Grant rather than Brad Pitt. Well done, gents. JR

Would love you and Calvin to react to the film : The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Great film , great acting. I feel a future incredible Bond Girl is in this, she is awesome. And Henry Caville is great as the possible inspiration for James Bond. Ian Flemming is in it breifly. And Alan Ritchson, what he does with a Bow and Arrow.
